Is there a specific time of the day where you see more violations? If so, let me know and I'll see if we can get more enforcement out there.

The biggest problem is the people driving through the stop signs. They don't even do the "california stop" they just drive through them. Especially the two on Empire Ranch rd and Owl Meadows and ER and Broadstone. I almost got hit by the same guy twice, two days in a row becuase he couldn't bother to stop.

I'm not admitting anything... but it's possible to jump one's motorcycle westbound on Iron Pt. at the Oak AvPkWy intersection...

We have three groups of drivers in Folsom:
1) Elderly people who are scared to death to drive so they go 10 MPH under the limit, stop long and hard at every stop sign, don't turn right on a red light and are unclear on the purpose of a "fast lane".
2) Drivers that are distracted by ___ (cell phone, books, radio, whatever) AND are driving much faster then everyone else. This includes young drivers who don't know better and adult drivers who DO know better.....but don't care (I mean, we DO live in Folsom after all).
3) The rest of us who work like the devil to avoid hitting or getting hit by #s 1 or 2 above.
The old lady that causes us to slam on our brakes because she's doing 25 in the fastlane on Folsom Blvd.....or the idiot flying in/out of traffic along Iron Point... If they won't be responsible for themselves, why do we have to be responsible for them?

How? I know of someone who's done it going westbound on Iron Point at Prairie City...

That's right, I had my streets mixed up

Drive Offensively! It's the AADA Way!

Drive faster! Keep the traffic moving instead of creepy crawling at 30 in a 45 zone. The lights will stop you anyway.

Both of these happened in the afternoon aroun 4:30, but I have seen it happen any time of day.
And both of this time I had my kid in the car with me. If that guy him me (I had to stop in the middle of the intersection to avoid it) he would have head one angry mama bear, let me tell you.

60 on Empire Ranch is not uncommon, even for myself. However, in the summer evenings, I can hear the motorcycles on ER from my backyard. Sounds like they are red-lining them all the time. I can only imagine they are going 100+

Ahh, yes....Proof that Darwin is lurking. I see that as a positive thing. Darwin usually does good work. Fairly clean and quick. Except for the softheads that want to wade into the forest in the winter at night looking for the 'perfect Christmas tree'....those tend to drag on for days, which can put Darwin in a testy mood. And you don't want Darwin mad....is that right, ngilbert ??.....

I have opinions, you have opinions. We'll just call it even...is that OK ??

I'll be honest, I'm a jerk about it. If someone behind me is hauling butt and riding my rear then I slow down....a lot! The speed limit is just exactly that, THE LIMIT. The post those limits for a reason, it means that is the fastest you can go, not the slowest. There are a lot of kids in this neighborhood and people do go way to fast. .

I sometimes do the same thing to tailgaters, if you insist on riding my rear bumper, I slow down so the distance between the tailgater and me is safe for the speed. I do give a warning first, like tapping my brakes 2 or 3 times, some people take the hint and back off, but those that don't find me slowing down until they get off my bumper.
I would rather be Backpacking
