I agree, it would be nice to have a Fresh choice in town,

But my real preference is:

We need a good authentic Korean restaurant
I really dislike having to drive all the way down to Bradshaw & US 50 for my Kimchee fix.

Oh yum! The non-fish, super hot kind.
Now I'm really hungry.

After reading "Chinese To Go" I was, once again, wishing that there was more than one Thai restaurant in town. Amidst all the chains, what kind of restaurant do you wish Folsom had?

THAI!

Filipino and Thai would be great!

Have you tried the kimchee at Manderes? I don't think their food is all that (too small of a kitchen), but their kimchee is good. Granted, I'm not a kimchee expert, so take what I say with a grain of salt.

Chantara in Town Center is fabulous. They seem to have resolved the 'rediculously long wait for your food' issues, as well.
In my book, there is nothing better than basil and curry.
Now I'm hungry!

Yellow curry with those yummy potatoes...

We likes all kinds of ethnic foods, so any ethnic restaurant of high quality (with great service) would be great.

I'd love to have a Moroccan restaurant in town. Casablanca in Sacramento is awesome, but it would be great to have one closer to home.

Bill beat me to the punch on a Korean restaurant.

I'd also love to have a good kosher deli in town.

I wonder if all the Asian people sit around and say "It'd be great to have a great chicken place, or a really good hamburger place. Or how about ribs and grits?!"

Seems all the white folk want to eat is Asian food.

I don't know how 'authentic' it is, but many years ago I had a Hawaiian co-worker
whose grandmother used to pollute her with kimchee, and she'd bring it directly to me (she couldn't eat it anymore) and it was insanely good. Vegan (of course) and full of red pepper.

A good tapas place, like Cha Cha Cha in SF.

That's a favorite of mine too. The lines can be hectic.

Interesting. As a token Asian, I do search out good ribs/greens/grits places. Mostly because I don't have a smoker.

So, I'm more of a person that searches out resturants that serve high quality, fresh, good food with excellent service where the menu items might be on the more tedious or time consuming side to prepare at home. Smoked ribs/brisket fall into that category -- don't have time or patience to wait for food to cook for 4-6-10 hours. As does Dim Sum -- too complicated and too many items.

Steaks and hamburgers (and Korean food) -- no place like home.

I'd love to persuade Sam Choy to open a restaurant in Folsom.

A bakery or patisserie that is open on Sunday and past 5 PM on Weekdays.

Convert Sudwerks Riverside into a real German restaurant complete with sauerbraten, beer steins, and apple strudel.

A New Orleans style restaurant, say one owned and operated by the Brennan Family. Wouldn't mind oyster stew, hot beignets, and Bannanas Foster.

I'll trade the planned Ruth's Chris and P.F. Chang's for a McCormick and Schmicks.

Great suggestion! I'd love to see a McCormick and Schmicks put where in where Sudwerks screwed up - that'd be the ideal restaurant in the ideal location. M&S is a classy top notch restaurant

I miss Kabul (Afghan) in San Carlos...
Good falafel would be nice.

I concur on a good steak house and BBQ (also miss Red Neck Earls).

Wasn't there a Ruth's in town that eventually left? I believe it was on E. Bidwell by the urgent care center......and there is a new Hawaiian place in the Safeway shopping center on Francisco in EDH. Pretty good food.
