Actually, I think 2010 is for the Sac location. The Greenback location says 2009. (hopefully early 2009)

Also, did anyone take the time to notice what the difference was between the east and west coast menus?

Sure....the prices, of course. Cheaper back East. That shouldn't surprise anyone.

The instructions on the site itself say to click on the menu to enlarge it. I did that and the menu was still fuzzy. I didn't look for the magnifying glass; I just followed their instructions -- which didn't work. I accidentally clicked twice and then I was able to see it. I suspect Bill did the same thing -- following the instructions provided.

Yep, that's what I did, followed the instructions.

So, I drove past this place again today. Did it ever open? I see there's a number listed on the website ( http://www.buffalowi...cramento-1.html ) but it's disconnected.

What's the story?

It looks like their liquor license expired on NYE:

Old link Mylo.

If you go direct to main page and navigate all the locations by that Franchisee (one in OV, one in EG, one other in Sac) are now removed (the coming soon items). The only one listed in Sac area is the existing Elk Grove location. According to people I know who work around the area / next door they heard the project was abandoned when the economy tanked and the franchisor ran out of money. Now consider that gossip / third hand, but with the removal of the info from the website, # being disconnected, and nothing having been done there in soooo long, it appears dead.

I've wondered too. Pity, it seems like a decent place for a restaurant.

There is now as of Saturday afternoon a real estate sign in front of the building advertising it being for sale.

That place has been a restaurant for many years, but in the 9 years I've lived in the area, there have been 4 restaurants there and all have failed.

It looks too much like a house. I think it would be better suited as an events hall or something.

Now across the street, I'd love to see the Orangevale Orbit converted in to a Suzie Burger!

back to wings

Anyone else tried the new Fiery Grilled wings at KFC?

They are finger licking good. You can actually taste the pepper taste on them, not just the heat. And as they can't make em look big with lots of dough like their regular deep-fried hot wings, they actually are using larger wing pieces for these with lots of meat on them.

I will have to say, I'm very impressed with them.

unless they gutted it, when I went there when it was yellow and called "The country kitchen" or something like that, it still was a house inside. You walked into a hallway and got seated in one of the rooms. It wasn't a big open dining room, it was a bunch of different rooms with dining tables in them.

Such a shame that the historic Victorian was painted a GD-awful color combination.

Restaurants in Orangevale don't seem to make it. Mexican & pizza excepted.
