And did they have plates on the van? If not the police should have it off the road.

I'm sure the police would have noticed missing plates when they interviewed the van occupants as well as the students involved in the original emails. Folsom Hills Elementary even put out a telephone message to all parents to quell the rumor a while ago.

This morning from Serrano part of El Dorado Hills - down toward the El Dorado Transit Commuter Bus Stop I saw a 4x4 looking Police vehicle in front of one of the elementary schools. Are the Police there to check for this white van or any other cars entering into Serrano?

I just dont see Police patrolling too often (which is good i suppose)

Another "white van" spotting in EDH - this email was forwarded to me.

My son goes to a Jr. Kindergarten in El Dorado Hills. Yesterday a white van pulled up to a girl walking home from school, the person in the van offered her candy. The girl said no and ran back to the school and reported the incident. The police are aware of the incident. This is the second time in two weeks that there has been a report of suspicious activity with a van and children walking near schools in El Dorado Hills. This is a good opportunity for us to re-visit what to do with our kids if this should occur here in Folsom.

In these days of high tech, large heavy phone books seem so archaic by comparison<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Nice Dav. I guess older folks who don't use computers and other people who chose to use paper phone books should just not be allowed to have them? Could your view possibly be any more narrow minded?

sorry to take this thread off topic, but couldn't people who want a new hard copy send in a postcard to request one? everyone else could get a cd with the phone book on it, so they don't have to have internet service. wouldn't a cd be more green than a paper book? I don't really know. I guess the paper is completely recyclable, but jeez, its so hard to tell what's truely green.
