You betcha.

Hey, after a year or so, everyone will be inceasing their trips to BevMo to "ease the pain". Oh, and don't worry about my wealth...I feel for the people that don't have wealth!!

Things will be even tougher for them, sadly. cheers.gif

We will see my friend...

Wealth can be summed up in many ways... I have wealth of life, love, children, family which to me is more than a few dollars in my pocket..

That's what I meant, my argumentative friend. smile.gif

Wealth of health, of family, of friends, of assets, of savings, of character, of morals, of job security, of cold brew....you get my drift....wealth is/can be a variety of things.

I am glad/honored that I've been a wealth of information to y'all in this forum. cool.gif wink.gif
I have opinions, you have opinions. We'll just call it even...is that OK ??

angry.gif On October 26th we went into IHOP for breakfast. I asked for "hot syrup". Fifteen minutes after our food sat getting cold, our waiter brought the syrup. We had to ask for utensils at this time too. He informed me that "they only serve hot syrup upon request." A request shouldn't take 15 minutes. And we shouldn't have to wait for utensils. The food got cold while we waited. The food was disgusting. When we went to pay and leave, the cashier asked if everything was ok. I said, "No, it was horrible." she said "just a minute," and walked to the back. I was rudely approached by the "manager" Patricia who had a horrible attitude and she explained to me again the reason for not serving hot syrup (due to salmonella). I kept asking if I could just pay and leave. I NEVER asked to speak to the manager, I just wanted to pay and leave, but she kept going on and on. She was raising her voice and making a scene. At one point, I sent my two 10 year olds outside. She immediately put me as the bad person and I was in the wrong. What ever happened to customer satisfaction? The overall breakfast was DISGUSTING.

I tried to follow up on Monday and I spoke with Melisa the Director of Operations for IHOP. I told her what happened and she said she was going to call the IHOP and call me back. I am still waiting for her call. I called and spoke to the owner and he too said he would call me back. I'm still waiting for that call to.

Has anyone else had problems with this IHOP? I can't believe people would treat their customers like this. angry.gif

Wow, I REALLY hate to be controversial and you have a right to your opinions but I couldn't disagree more.

We go to that ihop about 3 times a week in the morning/early afternoon and have never experienced bad service in any way. That manager your referring to has also been the best restaurant manager I've ever seen. Maybe you got her on an off day somehow but as long as we have been going there she seems to hold TOP standards for everything revolving around that restaurant.

One time I even hinted that my pattymelt seemed dry compared to usual and assured her that it was edible in every way but she IMMEDIATELY sent it back and had me a new one within a couple mins appologizing, stating that service like that was unacceptable and comp'd it.

She keeps the place spotless, treats her employees well (while managing them at the same time) and goes COMPLETELY out of her way for any children and babies.

We also couldn't say enough good things about the crew there. It does get busy and at times have seemed under staffed but when i asked why they made me realize that it was late in the afternoon and rushes like that were completely unexpected.

I really hope you get everything cleared up and don't feel offended that I posted my opinion her contrary to yours but I just couldn't help but stick up for a restaurant that we have had such a good experience at since the first day we were there...

I have also had issues with her as well providing less than exceptional service.

The other IHOP has better service. (the one by Save Mart)

We had the misfortune to visit this IHOP (by Sams and BevMO) and the service was terrible. We will never go there again!!!

Can I ask a stupid question? Why go to IHOP when there is Sutter Street Grill or Gold Miner's Cafe?

Same reason you'd go to Denny's... you want to go somewhere at 2:30AM

Because it's there.

Because we can.

Because where else can you order the Rooty Tooty Fresh & Fruity?

But actually, we prefer Ernie's & Mel's over SSG & GMC.

BTW, I've never ordered the RTF&F, I prefer omelettes
and no one makes pancakes as good as I do,
so I only have pancakes when I'm making them
I would rather be Backpacking

Do you make your pancakes from a mix (Trader Joes is pretty good) or do you make from scratch?

That's a good looking burger and the RR Royal Burger (fried egg cheeseburger) is a favorite. When I think of IHOP I only think of them as have pancakes, omelets, French toast and waffles with multi flavored syrups but not lunch or dinner.

Throw a chickbreast and a piece of veal on there, and watch a vegan's head explode.

To be truly offensive each must be stuffed inside the next

from scratch

Alton Brown featured how to make pancakes from scratch on his Good Eats show. It was super easy and did make a difference.
