I'm the block captain. We are the last street on the luminaries so the main organizers have not really wanted to expand, but if we ask real nice they may be willing. I'm sure I can get the stuff for you to join in this year. We need to measure your sidewalk, all the houses leading up to you are 9 candle houses so you are probably the same.

Hey the 24th is getting really close... what's the deal with the luminaries.. where do I go to get the bags and the candles...

I got my bag dropped on my porch Friday afternoon and went down the street to pay them my $5. If you don't know who your block captain was last year, PM your address to me and I'll see if I can find out who your Block Captain is.

I think you said that you are on Big Valley. That luminary is run by a different group than the Briggs Ranch luminary. The student who started it is away at college so you will need to ask around. Do you remember the house where the sand was? Ask there. His parents live there.

I've always read it's the 24th, if it rains, it's the 25th, it it rains again, save your supplies for next year. Ifi it rains both nights this year, I would expect block captains would be getting the word out what to do.

I thought it was 24th, 25th and if those are rained out it becomes New Years Eve.

I got the call tonight that because of the weather the luminaries are postponed until New Years Eve.

That's a shame. My husband has to work on New Years Eve and we were so looking forward to enjoying it together.
