I could have sworn I saw something about a developer buying the mall and a bunch of land around it with the intention of demolishing and building a new mall and several condo buildings.
Obviously not something they're going to launch into after whats happened, but I thought I saw something about that around a year, year and a half ago.
So maybe they dont really want tenants.

I've never been myself, but I've heard good things about Garbeaus from friends. I have to say that I admire their moxy. So many business's have closed recently, and no one even saw it coming. They were there one day, gone the next. There's several that I wished I had known about so that I could have shown my support by spending my dollars there! So I'm glad that at least their trying and thinking outside the box. Maybe if more business's did this, there wouldn't be so many empty store fronts.

There is a local beatles band playing there next sunday for a benefit. ALL proceeds go to garbeaus. Here is the info.
Formerly known as The BBC, "Because: The Beatles Tribute Band" has been the featured second act of our two New Year's Eve benefits for The Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Now with Garbeau's fighting to keep its doors open, the legendary band of Brits approached us and volunteered to hold a benefit for Garbeau's!
Tickets for this evening are as follows:
$25 for main floor and first tier seating;
$20 for limited table seating near the bar;
$10 for second tier seating and standing room-only admission.
Finger foods (chicken strips, french fries, mozzarella sticks, etc) will be available for purchase. Full entrees may be made available dependent on the interest expressed by patrons as they make their reservations.
Not too bad.

Is this a business or a hobby? Are you posting with direct knowledge of the owners' plans? That just seems strange to operate a professional business in such a way. "We'll see if someone wants to eat and maybe open the kitchen" is how this comes off to me. Either they're in business or not. It doesn't make much sense.
I'm assuming the original post on here was from the owners????? I made an offer to provide some free entertainment to help out but have had no contact from them. I'm just wondering what the status is at this point. Curious happenings.
