I am very sorry for Folsom, we need unique places like yours.

Unfortunately, when times get leaner, one of the first cut-backs people make is the eating-out expenditure.

I went by tonight. It was great seeing Jonathan and Gita. The place was packed.

I'll miss them. Really nice folks who worked and tried really hard.

Mrs. Thedad and I partied with Mr. Davex, Dlutz and BooBoo.

I'll pop in again tomorrow night for their comedy gig and fairwell.

Sounds better than having a place and not the date to bring...

I never made it here either, despite intentions to do so. I feel like I am missing-out.

I just noticed a sign on the Ravine building that says the new owner plans to call it "Ab's Bar" or something similar. Is that Abbey, the former owner?

Two of my friends stopped by yesterday afternoon to check it out. It is now called
Ab's Bar and will be open at 4:00 P.M in the afternoons, I do not know what their hours of closing are or their weedend hours. They have a Happy Hour from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. and I believe $3.00 well drinks and an assortment of appetizers. So, you might want to check them out and support their efforts...

Update:

We're starting Thursday night Jazz & Karaoke at Ab's Bar.....

Beginning on May 7, we'll have karaoke from 8-11. To start out the evening, I'll play some live smooth jazz on various horns and once the singers start up, it's karaoke & dancing....No cover charge.

Where: Ab's Bar (formerly The Ravine)
When: Thursday nights from 8-11
What: Karaoke (with some jazz thrown in)
