You are right- Tumeric is a very good healthy spice to have daily

I was joking with a friend the other day that THE perfect meal would be Sockeye Salmon cooked with Tumeric and you eat a little dark chocolate with Bluberries and wash it down with red wine. That is THE dream meal of herbalists....hehehehe

It seems more likely to me that Indian rates of Alzheimers are low because the life expectancy of those passing away now is about 45 years. Eating tumeric the whole while, of course.

Seems to me that your sources are completely wrong/skewed/out of whack.

I do not want to go back and forth, BUT according to my research, the life expectentcy in India is about 69 years. Here are my sources:

If you're born today, lucky you... if you were born in India in the 60's it's too bad for you.

I'm curious---is the health and wellness thread only for one poster who demands to place articles about health?

It seems we have only seen one person post health and wellness.

Can I request my own thread also?

I'd like one that is only for all the things we can't talk about without hurting someones feelings.

Cause that is healthy, too.

You know? Getting things off your chest, and all.

1) I did not demand anything
2) The health and wellness thread was approved as a result of overwhelming support of many forum members and moderators including John.
3)It seems that you are in attack mode for no reason.
4)This is the one thread (Health and Wellness) that unites as all; regardless of ethnicity, race, religion, creed, nationality, piolitical affiliation, or socio economic status.
5) Instead of complaining to get your own thread, why don't you do something CONSTRUCTIVE for a chnage and post something.

Tell me how I attacked you?

I merely am speculating that venting is just as healthy for a person as reading do's and don't on a health and wellness thread.

maybe I took it the wrong way when you stated:

I thought that even in this tame, but very educational thread such as Health and Wellness, we have someone that is complaining as to why we have this thread and insinuating that "one poster demands" a thread, he gets it, so now I (Supermom) wants one too.

No--I said I want my own sub forum posty thingy like Palango got.

He got to complain approximately 3-4 times in other threads beofre they broke down and gave it to him.

I figured I'd try it too.

Seems like a healthy idea.

Did you read my request?

Only members over a certain post coundt would be able to post into it.

Lots of forums do that for items that are "sensitive" topics.

Lets get this straight. I did not complain or demand anything. I made a suggestion (constructive) The moderators and John decided that this was a good idea. Many people supported this idea even though they may disagree with me on some points and may have called for my head to be chopped off, being banned, etc.

Yet above all, they had the badwidth and the neurons firing on all cylinders to actually LISTEN to something constructive and made it happen.

Now, if you or any member feel that I should cease to post useful information (constructive) in the health topics for whatever reason AND this is supported by the moderators, I will go ahead and oblige. No reason to waste my time or someone elses.

Palango---I'm using tongue in cheek to make a point.

I'm not attacking you.

Maybe I didn't verbalize that well enough?

Not trying to upset you---sorry if I did.
