Lovely neighbors there. Time for some payback. After their party is over, the next morning when they're hungover and semi passed out... now's your time to be loud and annoying - mow your lawn, edge it, have some young kids over and give them sodas and sugar so they're as loud as possible, blast your stereo twords their windows...

You know what they say about payback. No need to be the victim.

Excellent idea! Power wash everything in your yard at 8 the next morning. Hammer deck nails down. Play your own music nice and loud.

Under the current water restrictions power washing is prohibited.

Methinks the leaf blower would work well.

heheh perfect!

one time while out camping, a group of punks decided to party wild, drunk and loud until 5:00am (we kept telling them to shut up and go to sleep but they wouldn't)... so the next morning around 9am, I quietly rolled my motorcycle over to next to their tent and started it up and revved it loudly for about 10 minutes

for some reason they weren't very happy about that, but all the other campers around cheered

payback can be fun muhahahahah

A home regularly entertains until very late (1-2 am is not unusual). Last nite went til 4:30. Several homes share backyard fences w/ this individual and the noise as well as smoke from an outdoor fire /tiki torches are EXCESSIVE. Police are aware and have been contacted several times yet the "good ole boy partying" by increasingly inebriated guests continues. With nice weather coming along (its here) I'm no longer willing to keep my windows closed because of this maroons offenses. Suggestions? are there others of you willing to participate in a collective response to this "neighbor"? we're fairly new to NS and other than tiki-boy, we love it here.

Do you mind me asking what street these bothersome neighbors live on?

Why do people on the "lower end" of the economic spectrum seem to always do their phone calling outside?

That's quite a bias statement. What does it matter where people make their phone calls as long as it is not on your property?

Because it's more comfortable to talk from the couch.

When I was in college and had to deal with this sort of thing, I had a few tricks...

1. Stink bombs. Works like a charm, everyone goes inside, though, they do occasionally come back out so buy lots of them.

2. Hose 'em. No one likes getting water in their beer, no one knows why.

3. Blast awful music in their direction.

4. Sneak in, find some fruit punch and spill on the carpet, spelling "Be Quiet," IMPORTANT: Make a quiet escape.

So what if people enjoy sitting outside and talking on their phone in their yard. Thats why there are cell and cordless phones, so you can talk where you want to! I don't see a problem with this unless it's late at night or YOU hear threats against people and so forth.

So they can enjoy their cigs and pollute everyone else's air.

I don't care where neighbors speak on their phones as long as they realize they don't have to scream to be heard by the other party. Unfortunately, we used to have a neighbor who yelled in his phone on his driveway all hours of the night, which was quite disruptive to neighbors nearby who wanted to sleep with their windows open.

If my dogs heard someone speaking loudly at night near the front of our house or the neighbor's house it would make them bark.
