They've been blabbing all day about curing themselves and their grandkids of the flu with their latest "magic water"... Nevermind that they're flat broke and living with us now, their $50 6-oz bottle of "oxy-silver" is now a needed expense.... rolleyes.gif

Yeah, not to mention alot of that stuff are just simply marketing schemes. Like the health drinks... Tahitian Noni, Acai Drinks, Monavai, etc. Not saying that they aren't healthy for you but they are all about the recruiting, $$$ and motivational speaking.

Anyways, sorry to go off topic but that last comment made me laugh.

am glad you are feeling better. This H1N1 is the REAL deal. My good friend, Dr. Graham (infectious disease specialist) posted this on his FB profile:

Sad for my patient, a young mother with no previous medical problems dying from H1N1 in the ICU. Get vaccinated if you are eligible (and if there's any vaccine around)

Are you a MD? Just wondered what your credentials were. Why did your Md freind give out that info for you to blab all over this forum.

How do you know she has no underlying conditions, does not smoke, obese, etc.

You always seem to be throwing around you know this ID Specialist. If so, then give us the real deal, not some teaser.

You hopefully were not the one sick in front of my daughter on Friday that was blowiing their nose, and coughing in a pedi office. Was that you?

If the virus has mutated, then forget your vaccines, we are in serious trouble. Everyone is being very silent, including the WHO, Mill Bank and other known virology people. Be prepared, because the vaccine may be causing this mutation as well.

The above statement validates my point that mentall illness is very prevalent in our nation. Folks are very paranoid and seeing things that do not exist.

No I never claimed I was an MD. My good friend, Dr. Graham (Infectious disease specilaist trained in harvard and Stanford) posted that encouraging his friends to get vaccinated because this H1N1 is very dangerous and the real deal.

Well, if learn how to READ and/or check your Rx for glasses, the original post stated that "a young mother with no previous medical problems dying from H1N1 in the ICU".

Please go back to your sewing/knitting boards where your irrational bahviour may be better suited. Have a good day.

yes mary, that post was irrational and unnecessary. A dr posted something on facebook. Happens all the time. Palango shared it with us in attempts to help prove his own personal point. No harm, no foul.

According to our government the virus has NOT mutated at this point today. According to our government the vaccine SHOULD provide BETTER protection if this virus mutates then if you had natural immunities to it (by getting the illness).

Well better check with the WHO because of Ukraine. They are hiding something there.
The MD should not be posting personal things about patients and we still do not know the womans background who is dying.

and you are hillariously funny.
I have been accused of many things, BUT I give you the award for the MOST original accusation with the following and I quote:

You hopefully were not the one sick in front of my daughter on Friday that was blowiing their nose, and coughing in a pedi office. Was that you?

My feelings are hurt. I am crushed, but I take solace that you are origina, indeed.

Update from the UK http://www.who.int/c...3/en/index.html

I stand on my statements. The WHO nor anybody else is "hiding" anything. The deployed investigating team just arrived yesterday. I watch the updates but at this point we follow our countries instructions and word on the matter. The get their info from WHO as well and know a heck of alot more on the topics then we see. Plus if it does mutate, that doesn't mean that our vaccine is totally ineffective.

The MD can post that on his facebook if he likes. I'm sure the family has no objections and he knows that. The news will post more then he did.

Agreed.

Its not like he was disclosing specific med conditions to the entire world with the names, and other very specific CONFIDENTAIL info (against HIPAA) etc. All he was doing was to let his friends know to please get vaccinated.

Furthermore, this guy teaches about HIPAA and other laws. he knows his stuff.

Finally, just because I posted what he stated does not mean that anyone should be forced to do anything. Its a free country. Go ride without a helmet and put your kids in the car without a seatbelt because the chances of you getting in a wreck in the first place (as the CDC expert on 60 minutes put it) is so remote anyways with that kind of logic.

It really wouldn't qualify as personal unless we have a name to go along with the patient being described generally, or even of the Doctor or hospital.

But I agree with you regarding his bombastic response regarding glasses and sewing machines. You were being a little pointed with him, and he over-reacted.

I'm fine with his posting the information from his friend...

Actually the post you posted was from November 3, 2009. There has been nothing newer except a few blurbs. They have not given anyone the sequence to see if it has mutated. So, you keep in the bubble. But you are correct, if it has mutated, a little of the vaccine will give you a small amount of protection.

Back to topic. I read a very intersting article in TIME about the Ukraine situation (H1N1 Crisis or Political Ploy?). Too early to tell or jump to any conclusions on this.

I'm well aware when the info was dated but thats the last official update.

I don't think I'm "in a bubble" for listening to the "World Health Organization" as well as our governments "Center for Disease Control". Thats not to say there isn't a chance of mutation going on but they have to investigate what it is, if it effects us, what to do about it etc. If it wasn't for scientists, who, cdc, our government, other governments etc we wouldn't even know about the H1N1, have tamiflu or vaccines. So excuse me for listening to what they officially state info instead of you. Who I'm sure is not a dr, scientist, or anything other then a net surfer in regards to this disease.

There is no information on "a little of the vaccine will give you a small amount of protection" as far as I'm aware. I assume they have no idea of that info until it mutates and they study it. Either-way, if they suggest that it might even have a "small chance" of some sort of protection then I'd like to put my faith in "small" rather then the possibility of nothing. But thats for everyone to make their own decisions and thats just my feeling on the matter.

Do you work? You are on this thread alot, like JlS. You all critiqued me, you all have had the most posts, compared to mine.
You should both be commended for being so hypocritical. Look at your posts, you are both pathetic. Have a good nite. You wont see me here, I have moved on. You both need to, as well.
