there is also a sushi place and another mexican down by the McDonalds of Folsom-Auburn.

Yes, the Thai place closed up shop.

The Mexican (Cuevitas) by McDonalds also closed. Then became Folsom Bistro. Then closed.

From what I understand it's a Fuddrucker's type place. Surely by the mall.

My buddy from Denver just texted me, "Good Stuff!" and "..you will love it." Can't wait.

Just got an email from someone about Smashburger - rumor has it going in where Once Upon a Child was over by Raley's.

I've been to the Counter. It was good but nothing to brag about, but it wasn't bad. Expensive for what I ordered.

Those are good guesses mylo.

On a related note, I tried The Habit burger joint off of Sierra College months ago and it was good but nothing exciting. Anyone try it or The Counter in the Fountains center by the Galleria?

Mmm... I'm just trying to guess where this could go.

With Sonic going in by Home Depot, it makes little sense to be there.

Athough I guess Palladio has a lot of space, are they going to be ready by Spring 2010? Maybe immediately next to the theatre like the new burger place going in EDH?

Alternatively, my only other guess would be down by the outlets. Perhaps the Applebees site?

And the winner is... 703 East Bidwell:

Also known as the previous "Once Upon a Child" building, by Raleys in the central district.

Cool! I like seeing new stuff this side of town.

I just dined at Smashburger on Sunrise, I wouldn't describe it as a Fuddrucker's. More like an In'n'out with a fancier menu.
I would rather be Backpacking

Smashburger should be called greaseburger-greasiest chain hamburger I ever had. The restaurant is too small and the fries are gross-u can get better in the frozen food aisle. The buns are soft and they offer sourdough-expensive and not a true gourmet burger. Sad but true...How hard can it be to make a good burger-maybe that's why so many burger places flop.

Glad I'm not the only one that thought it seemed fatty, I bet they use 30% fat content ground beef. (it's cheaper, that's for sure)

I think it is great to see something new going in that shopping center. There are a lot of empty stores/buildings in that area. Hopefully the food will be good. I would like to give it a try when it opens. I always love a good burger.

They missed their 6/2 date. Currently targeting Wednesday 6/9 (yes, that's tomorrow)

We went to the place on Sunrise and thoroughly enjoyed it!

Right. The same complex where Yogurt Delight recently opened under new ownership. Across from Lowes. .
