The Pink Floyd that Bill listed

as long as we are tangenting off on non 80's era Pink Floyd tunes, you mustn't forget my favorite dog singing song

Seamus
"If your dog doesn't like someone you probably shouldn't either."
- Unknown

"Whoever said you can't buy happiness forgot little puppies."
- Gene Hill

"The more people I meet the more I like my dog."
- Unknown

"Dogs are our link to paradise. They don't know evil or jealousy or discontent. To sit with a dog on a hillside on a glorious afternoon is to be back in Eden, where doing nothing was not boring--it was peace."
- Milan Kundera

So I'm not the only Ultravox fan in the world. Although my favorite album of theirs was the 1978 release "Systems of Romance".

How about their 1980 release Vienna
I would rather be Backpacking

So many good songs listed.

I'll just add "Our House" by Madness.

I like Patra's 1995 version better.

And there was so much good reggae going on. Black Uhuru, Ziggy Marley, Bunny Wailer, Eek-a-mouse, Third World, Gregory Isaacs, Barrington Levy, Inner Circle -- or pretty much anything on Shanachie's label.

Third World's 'Try Jah Love' and 'Now that we've found love' are great!

Now that we've found love, what are we going to do.. with it?

Makes me think of Big Mountain's "Baby I Love Your Way," and then Garnet Silk but that was the 90s.

Just thought of another one I love, "Break My Stride" by Matthew Wilder. Funny how the music is kinda like a Men at Work or a Police song, but the guy sounds Jamaican and totally doesn't look like you'd expect him to.

OMG I remember this song. "Ain't nothing gonna break my stride, ain't nobody gonna hold me down, oh no. I got to keep on moving"

This clip reminds me of Solid Gold. I remember watching this show all the time. It seems much cheesier now. Solid Gold is however where I first saw Phil Collins, The Culture Club and other 80s artists.

Those were the days.

David Byrne was the Bowie of the 80's... and he's still cranking out good stuff!

course his music is the either love it or hate it kind...

but how can anyone not like "Once In A Lifetime" ???????
