then on the st pats case they hit the guy in the hand and not the chest where they were supposed to shoot.
down in the sutter street honkey tonk area where lots of folks have been drinking folks tell me that the cops lots of times display an attitude and up to now I just thought they might be jealous that they were working and not in the old party.
old soldier proposes the solution that we disarm the police and have them be like the bobbies they have in england. heck we could get them cool hats like they have in england and they would add to the tourist attraction on the new improved sutter street.
the old soldier proposal would let them keep their billy clubs for just in case situations.

Yeah, I find it really strange. I've never been tased. I've never been to jail. I did have an officer "rough handle" me once, but I was going 100mph, and as soon as he realized I was complying he turned mostly friendly. Amazing what being cooperative can do with a police officer. Now, don't get me wrong, police need to be trained and monitored for abuse, etc. but if given the choice between lethal force or no force, I think we'd have a lot less "accidental" deaths.

That's my thought on this too. Don't do the crime if you don't want to do the time or deal with pain from being caught.
And why does crap like this even go to court? Criminals should lose all rights to create frivolous lawsuits.

While I agree with your sentiment, where I get concerned is being the innocent bystander that gets hit.
As an asthmatic, I would hate to be hit by pepper spray as I was walking past a group of protestors just as the LE's decide to take action.

Good, about time someone got on FPD's back. They tried to put me in jail and stuff for bring a US Marine, some girl hit MY car and he was blaming it on me and I was like really? And he was saying I was arguing with him, I took it to court, read the bs police report, and he didn't even show to court cause he knew it was bs. I didn't get to finish the case because I had military business. But really, FPD is the worse, they pulled me over just because I drove by a high school party. And me being 19 years of age, they assume I was there, when I was just picking up my sister.
The cop let me go when I told him I was a Marine and smoking marijuana and underage drinking with young high school kids isn't my thing.
The entire cop tazes someone story is believable to me. They have nothing better to do. If they are fat and stuff, they have been in the force for a while, but if they are in shape, they are brand new and haven't gotten to know Folsom yet and haven't discovered in N out.
Those are the ones you want to pull you over cause they aren't crooked and try to blame you for something you didn't do.

sounds like you need to get back to base and finish boot camp - you have a serious chip on your shoulder about being harassed because you are in the military...

I am actually going back to the East coast, glad too. Can't stand Folsom and all the code pink mothers and all the anti military people.
But everyone has their own opinions and that is what I swore to defend even though nobody likes us!
And yes, the person getting tazed is proof that FPD is out of control.

There's no doubt that many PD's around the country have 'issues', and FPD is no exception. That's just a fact. They have many problems.

Let me tell you something Steve- I would be hardpressed to find ANYONE in Folsom that does not support our men and women in uniform. What they do in the service of this country is honorable and just.
I am sure there are a few like you that feel that they are not being treated right- but you are a minuscule minority of those that serve.

I called up my lawyer when I was getting the blame for someone hitting the side of my car, total T bone. (Yes I was getting the blame for getting hit) and she told me that it would be hard because they only police bigger police departments and Folsom is small, so they don't really look into them, that is why they are going around doing as they wish.
I think they should uphold the law, there's nothing difficult about that. I'm in Security Forces in the Marine Corps, which is a tad higher than the Police's SWAT teams, and I know how police work, I know many MP's and FPD is a joke.
I was thinking about becoming a police officer in my hometown (Folsom) but with many folsomites against the military and horrible police department, I am having second thoughts lol.
Tazing innocent people and blaming some guy for getting hit because the female that hit his car looks like a model isn't my thing.

And thank you, its not that big of a deal. I am just telling it how it is. I'm used to it, getting boo'd at sac airport and all that. Its nothing new to me. Let's stay on topic please!
Much appreciated!

Sorry to bust your bubble- but it is you that has taken this topic - off topic-
You are obviously so dumped on that you cannot rationalize reality versus your version of it.
While FPD is like any other police department has their problems- they are also very thorough in their work as I have seen many times in the past. I have had issues with a few of them on occasion but overall they are a good and respected group within the community...
Your two issues with them is your accident and being stopped once and for that I wonder what the truth is...
I will call you on getting boo'd at sac airport as when I am there and there are real soldiers they are given the highest respect for what they do - and many civilians I have seen , including me - give them thumbs up and more when we see them...
As far as your claims to being a tad higher than a swat team while you are still a PFC- I will leave that one alone..
I thinks there is more to your issues than are presented, but that is OK - Be all you can be and keep us out of harms way...
As I have said before I have the utmost respect for those in the military- but not ones that snivel and complain about such mundane issues... and likely are not telling the truth...

I thought Marines were supposed to be tough? Stop being a victim. Do us all a favor and go back east early!
