Welcome to Folsom. What time will you be expecting us for wine and landscape advice? tongue.gif

You beat me to it!

My advice is always free, but flows more freely as the wine does.

Ok I went around and spread anonymous notes in all of my neighborhood, even though they were not even needed!

rofl.gif That's awesome!

I wonder if it's illegal to represent the HOA in my neighbourhood. It'd be great to write people up fines for things like bad lawns and perhaps some whacky "incorrect elephant parking, visible from street" violations. I bet if you US Mail it you're going to Gitmo, but leaving it taped to a door would be hillarious!

i'd put in some of that neon multi-colored fiber optic grass on that side yard!

seriously though, aren't you glad you live somewhere where, even though the delivery is bad, people are concerned about not only how their house looks but the surrounding houses and community look??

i'd rather get a note telling me to clean up my yard than a note saying "i am going to park my car on my lawn for a while. Signed, your neighbor"

anyhow, congrats on the house and your efforts....wine and friends is a good thing!

I agree that a personal visit may have been in order, but some people are crazy and you never know how they'll react to advice. Like another poster wrote, at least they didn't call the "cops" first.

As for a landscaper, Salbador's # is 342.4394. He's the owner of New Life Landscaping and will give you a free estimate/advice.

He's also a member of the Folsom Business Club: http://www.FolsomBC.com

Doesn't sound like said neighbor was TOO concerned about the way the area looked. If so, they would have been knocking down the weeds to keep the area looking nice. Watch out for neighbors like that. Friendly to your face......shooting you in the back with dull bullets. haha

How about a neighbor that leaves a note saying, "I know it was you that called the police on our barking dog. We have children that nap too. Next time just talk to us."

I didn't call the police!! I have never heard their dog bark (didn't know they had one)!

I called the neighbor (they included their number in the note) and told them they got it incorrect. I was not that neighbor. They didn't believe me. They don't wave or even glance in my direction when they see me now.

I didn't even do it!

That's a very childish behavior on your neighbor's part... and how pathetic that they lashed out at you to put their issues on you and then they didn't believe you, sounds like they already had it out for you and just used this as an excuse to act like spoiled children.

Ever notice that's how things are starting to be the norm for around here anymore? What ever happened to saying hi to your neighbors, hanging out in the street talking......and leaving the drama alone? We're teaching each and every lesson to our kids by our actions.

Well we finished the landscaping about 1.5 weeks ago and I haven't received a "Thank You" note from my neighbor! How rude! LOL

They're probably sitting at home, sipping champagne, celebrating the success of their anonymous coup and thinking up other neighbours issues to harass next.

Cool! So where are the pics? Of course, we could just wait for our invites for a tour and wine :-)

I think I know who sent you that note, and I would urge you not to worry about it. I have an acquaintance who lives in your neighborhood (but not near you). They have enough money and they hired people to do fancy landscaping and have a weekly gardener. They are well known for anonymously notifying neighbors of messy yards, improperly hidden trash cans, etc. They call the city for every burp in the road. I just want you to know ... it's not you (and don't be suspicious of your nice neighbors).

These neighborhood forums don't get much traffic. I wouldn't be surprised if it was the second or third topic listed, and people don't always look at the dates.

Looks like that newbie joined myfolsom six years before you did.
