I liked the end. It started getting very confusing with the time traveling (that point forward you never saw the other Losties from 815), but I thought the end was emotionally satisfying.

No slight to GFF, but those 'explanations' sound like excuses to me. I guess I was just brought up more Chekhovian. Don't introduce things without reason.

I still immensely enjoyed the show as a whole, and like I said, I thought the finale was emotionally satisfying.

I found it certainly bitter-sweet.

I really missed not seeing the show last night, being Tuesday and all. And by "show" I mean Kate's little black dress that she wore to the concert!

I finally watched it last night. It was tough to avoid all media coverage of it for two days!

Overall, I enjoyed the finale and loved the ride the show gave us over the years. My only complaint was that the ending was too easy. People have been guessing since season 1 that there is some heaven/purgatory/spiritual thing going on with the island. Having it end with hints of those exact things was kind-of lame. The finale seemed to be more about wrapping-up the emotion rather than the story. My wife was crying, but I was thinking "ok, that's a bit cheesy" at times. That about sums it up.

For how creative this show was in every episode since the pilot, I was hoping and expecting something that nobody had ever thought of. Realistically, the writers probably knew they couldn't achieve that level of excellence and the risk of attempting and falling-short would be even worse. So the cop-out safe approach is to have all the relationships we rooted for to come to fruition in the end in a peaceful gathering of souls where the past was history, without needing to delve into a complex explanation of the island itself and all the odd things about it.

I still loved everything about the show and am sad to see it go.

They didn't explain the polar bear.

They got tired of eating fish biscuits, broke out of their cages, swam from Hydra island to the main island where they could feast on boar and mangos and Dharma ranch dressing, and never looked back smile.gif

To anyone that wanted to know what happened after the Island, there is 12 minute epilogue that shows a little of what happened after the island.

We find out why pregnant women always before they gave birth.
Walt's fate
And we find out what they did to those polar bears on the island.
