I'd have to agree with most that it will never happen because kids really don't want to get caught. I always hid in the bushes to throw rocks at cars. What you will get are those adults who want to share political views, don't we all love that.

Word from the city. Today they are bolting together the two halves of one of the spans that will cross the wetlands. It will be put up on the 20th/21st with the other four pieces, which are being delivered Wednesday night. They need a larger crane than the one they have right now to put them up, so they will do all three in one day to minimize the time the crane is on site.

Glad to see it coming together apparently according to plan.

I'll have to look for it today. Can't wait to use it.

Unfortunately for me this morning, the light turned green before I got my phone ready to shoot.

Oh, and the earlier post by tony was one of the best things I've read on here for a while. The number of parks in this town without restrooms is amazing(ly sad).

Near the creek that goes under East Bidwell just behind Jack in the Box and the vacant restaurant that used to be Lyon's/Sizzler/China Buffet.
BTW, this is Humbug Creek. Willow Creek is the next creek to the south that also goes under East Bidwell.

Thanks, CV!
BTW, according to Jim Konopka at the city, the bridge won't be open until about October; there's still several retaining walls to build, along with the approach pavement and the concrete deck on the bridge. You'd need a pretty good ramp to get up there right now.
I wonder how many crashes there were on E. Bidwell today as people craned their necks and said, "Hey, was that there yesterday?"
Bill Z: good comment about the creek names. Not many people know them. I remember which is which the same way I remember the E-W streets in the HD between Sutter and Bidwell: they are in alphabetical order going from north to south. Humbug is north; Willow is south. The streets, starting south of Sutter (the presumption is that one can remember that name and, well, you've just got to know that Bidwell is the last one to the south and it's not the same as E. Bidwell, although presumably they used to be connected ) are Figueroa, Mormon, Natoma and Persifer, neatly in alphabetical order.
