Law enforcement officer

Thanks Dave...
A VETERAN Whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America" for an amount "up to and including their life". That is HONOR, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it. -Author unknown-

Have you ever had contact with a LEO while DUI and either been let go or given a ride home and NOT cited?

Do you support a dog park S50?

Will you get some trees planted in the dog park? (I like a little shade sometimes and I need a place to go wee wee).

Lots of folsom parks have drinking fountains with a special bubbler for dogs to drink from, how come most of these bubblers don't seem to work? Any plans to fix them?

In terms of future development - do you support wasting open space through sprawl or building upward?

Do you have any plans lined up to cure the various well-known traffic snarls? (The one I go through every day is the Sunrise-like jams at Folsom and Iron Pt, and Folsom and Blue Ravine, caused by the light rail resetting the light sequence, but there are others on the east and north sides I'm sure.)

What is your plan to build business within the existing boundaries of Folsom?

Do you have a plan to increase city revenues without consideration of development south of highway 50? (Especially for those who indicate they do not want to develop that land.)

Do you support improvement of traffic flows on the major thoroughfares; i.e. Iron Point, Blue Ravine, Folsom Blvd., E. Bidwell? Including changing the traffic lights to give preference to these main roads instead of to the multiple side streets?

What is your experience with city planning?

And Democrats in particular have a history of facilitating this obstructionism in exchange for campaign donations and votes." . . .Amanda Ripley re "Waiting for Superman" movie.

Could you explain why John Laing homes wasn't invited to bid on the Vacant Land next to FHS that the city sold?

Actually a great question Robert. I would reckon it would be pretty embarrassing if the public found out a city council member hit someone driving drunk late one night, and the report somehow got lost on the way to the District Attorney's office.

I would also think that the head of the police department would also share in some of that responsibility. Certainly not the act of DUI itself, but the potential ommission of admitting the report got lost.

I guess since I have an Axe to grind, the question won't get asked.

I have something I would like to ask.

Would you support an electronic city newsletter run by the secretary of city council (not a newsletter by the local news establishment); which would visit common questions local citizens may have about local events, political forums about city policies, etc? I am interested in hearing a city council member tell us they can bring us out of the 1990's and online. There should be a city sponsored forum (prior to voting) for city referendum'd issues.

In short: I would like to see a little more positive conversation with citizens before blanket decisions on issues are made-which affects our city.

I understand choosing a bidder for road improvements may not necesarrily need public input, but, choosing whether or not to add a light or change a speed limit, or add a harsher punishment for drinking in public are decisions that the public should have the oppportunity to participate in the discussions of.

And--there should be accountability in why a council member voted a certain way-if it is not (or does not appear) in the cities popular interests.

Further-what is the city doing with the old library? Does the city own it? Are we still paying rent for it?

Wasn't there just a big announcement from the police department?
