I'm in, especially if Nhardy and Cvanderveen are putting money in. That's like taking money from babies right there.

We must have a draft party, though. Hell, the best part of fantasy football is the draft with some beers and making fun of Nhardy. That's a deal-breaker right there.

Duuuuuude! if there's beers and partying involved, count me in!!!!

Assuming Billsfan is serious, AND everyone is interesting in the money aspect, we're at 7.

If you still have spots, I'm in.

Well I created the league on Yahoo. The only email I received so far was from That Guy, so he has an invite emailed to him from the league. For you others serious about playing, email me at matt@grayfamilyfilms.com so I can also send you an invite to the league.

I suppose we should just name our teams the same names we use here? I'm there as "GFFMatt" so, feel free to follow suit if that's what you'd like to do as well. Be sure to look over the scoring & settings page so that everyone is aware of the rules as they stand right now. If there's something you think we should adjust then let's discuss it.

I left scoring as Yahoo default. The draft time I selected was Sunday, August 28th at 11:30am. If we need to change that, let's discuss it.

Does anyone want to volunteer as treasurer? I can do that too, but I figured since I'm already commissioner, we might want to break up the responsibilities. Buy-ins set at $20, I assume?

Based on our posts, I'm accounting for a 10 team league with myself, musicman, cvanderveen, That Guy, SacKen, Giacometti, billsfan, Nhardy, the Dude and tgianco. So if you don't want to play, please let me know for sure and we'll recruit to fill out the league. We can also expand to 12 or 14 teams if more want to play.

I would like to do it. Of course I'd choose all Bills players...

It would be great to have you in the league! Maybe we could get CW to join too?

hmmm - tgianco talking all this smack, yet only 3 teams are signed up in the yahoo league so far? Where you at TG? Come catch your dose of whip a**.

I agree we should do a live in person draft. GFF, as commish, we can use offline draft and you can fill in the rosters after. The best part of Fantasy Football is throwing back some cold ones (or cosmos for tgianco)while mocking each others terrible picks ie: Alex Smith.

Is there a category for "false hopes", "most interceptions" and "crushed aspirations"? We could draft the entire 49er roster and dominate the league.

I'm not leaving my command center during a draft. BUT all who want to gather while drafting can certainly do so...but the draft would still be live online. Just bring your laptops, etc, and log in wherever you are. Enjoy cold beers (start drinking early, too!) and distract each other all you like. =)

Hmmmm... wonder who named their team "I own tgianco"? Is someone already in your head?

Maybe we should have a "sub-league" for lower level FF managers? Like FF-Europe/FF-Canada or something along those lines?

You've got my vote!

I'd prefer NOT to play head to head if possible, but would rather go by total points.

#1. This way the season lasts longer for everyone

#2. Invariably, players loose interests after a few loses and stop making roster changes, therefore later in the season a playoff spot can be decided because a person quit playing.

#3. By using total points, injuries can slow down the top teams so others can catch them in December.

If we get enough teams, we can pay back 3 teams, keeping more people involved in the game.

I'm OK in going along with what everyone else wants.

Folks will need to speak up about how they want the league scored.

I prefer head-to-head. I like to play vs another team, and win based on that matchup.

In this league, we would have 2 divisions and playoffs would consist of those 2 division winners PLUS the next 2 highest seeded teams. So you have 10 teams fighting for 4 playoff spots. I think that's pretty good. If your team sucks or you don't manage it correctly, then you're going to lose. That's the risk assumed by agreeing to play. But we all know this.

*if* you guys would like to have your league as a total points, as Robert has suggested, chime in so we can make adjustments. If it is the majority who want a total points over head-to-head, then someone will need to step up and create a new league as I would opt not to play. Which is fine with me, I'm just not a fan of the scoring system.

Let's hear everyone's thoughts!

Matt, I'm Ok with playing head to head. If I had my prefernce it would be total points. I was only throwing out my thought if there wasn't any strong feelings either way. Since you took the initiative to set this up....unless others feel strongly about this lets do this head to head.

It doesn't matter to me either way. As long as you collect Nhardy's money upfront, we can all laugh at his team together.

I'm good either way. This will be my first time participating in a fantasy league.
