I agree.. I love that...especially people like Strings, Folsom Lake Bowl and Lockdown...I do not like when businesses pretend to be customers and give reviews.

It's easy to be sympathetic, though. Almost no business has a good review at the top of the list when you do, say, a Google search.

We really like Sudwerks. The view is the best in the County. There's nothing better (dining-wise :-) ) than having a drink and a burger--or anything-- on the deck/patio overlooking Lake Natoma and the three bridges.
We really enjoy their burgers--they are one of the few restaurants that will cook a burger medium rare.
The clam chowder is usually unbelievably good. At times (usually) it would rank as some of the best clam chowder I have ever had. (Granted--it isn't always the same.) Service is usually good--not always great.

We haven't had much of their appetizers, so I can't really speak to those, but we have been happy with their "real food".

Granted--When I am looking for great seafood, I go to Scott's. (Love their Halibut)

BTW--Sudweks has $2 pint night on Thursday nights.

...and no--I'm not an owner, friend, or employed by Sudwerks.

My husband and I went for date night last June. We were very disappointed. Though, the view is AWESOME. We really wanted to like it, but found ourselves avoiding the seafood - because we didn't trust the freshness - and half-expecting Chef Ramsay to come storming in filming an episode of Kitchen Nightmares! A shame because location is awesome, and it could potentially be a top notch restaurant!

That's an understatement...

This place is not even close to being as good as Scotts.

Original poster here.

No, I do not have any relationship with the restaurant. I just wanted to share my experience with this place. That's what this forum is all about. We seem to all have differing experiences. Maybe we were just lucky, or had the right chef on duty.

My wife and I are NOT into bars or junk food, so we have no opinions about the bar area or the 'bar food'. Nachos are the last things we would ever order. We originally held off on going there because of the alcohol focus.

We ordered off the dinner menu in the (weekday) evening. We didn't try everything, but the items we ordered were very good each time we went (about 4 times). Service was a little slow, but adequate.
