Santa came through Broadstone tonight. And, we love this - last year was our first and we think this is a fantastic thing. So much, that I really hate to offer a criticism. However, this year they really booked through the stops near Gold Ridge, and they ignored one of the stops at Walden and Blough. We tried walking to catch up, but the stops were so brief. The two youngest in our group ended up crying.

I know it is partly our fault for not being there in advance and waiting in the cold. It is hard to time it all right.

Again, overall a wonderful thing. We just need to plan this better next year.

Same here. They were booking. By the time we heard them and ran out with our cans of food to donate it was too late.

I still love that they do this. They really decorated the fire truck with a lot lights this year! It's one of the things of Folsom we're so glad hasn't changed much.

We did this for the first time with my son this weekend. It far exceeded my expectations. My son loved it. My only complaint was that it was about 8:45 by the time they reached my neighborhood, which is late for little kids. So we just drove around the next night following the trail searching for him instead. Although, the search for Santa did add an extra element that my son enjoyed.

Sunday night when they came through our neighborhood they stopped long enough for all the kids to sit on santas lap and get their pictures taken. There was probably 20 kids. It was really cool.

Loved the "snow" flakes! Don't remember that from previous years.

Donated canned food.
Got our free candy canes
& hung them on the tree.

Next item for the season, the Briggs Ranch Luminary (I presume it is still on).
I've got my special tin cup I use to scoop sand with, I think it is an old 1950's era military issue tin cup. Probably made out of zinc plated steel.

What a great job they did this year. Way better than the last few. They took the time and stopped for kids to have pictures taken and Santa really seemed to connect with the kids. In the past, it was more a fast drive by.

I've been observing this for 18 or 19 years, other than the snow this year, I haven't noticed a change except for changes to the route as the city has grown.
