It's sad that Joe is being blamed entirely for the crime instead of the freak-o perv-o who was the one who actually committed the crime.

I don't think he is blamed entirely. His crime was he looked the other way. How would you feel if one of those boys was yours and was defiled in this way because he cared more about his precious football program. His crime was just as reprehensible imo in the fact that he let it continue.
Sandusky is obviously sick in the head. Paterno has no such excuse. Just cowardice by his own words. He said he was "afraid" to report to police. Translation, "My poor football program will suffer"

I can't think of a single instance of anyone solely blaming Paterno. When people talk about him they are.... well .... talking about the role he played in this sordid mess. The reason he is discussed so much is specifically because he didn't do enough and because so many of his fans seem to think he did nothing wrong....generating debate. But I don't know of anyone who thinks this is entirely his fault.

Personally I think the real fault lies (not only with the pervo) but with the guy who witnessed the crime. That's the guy who people should be railing on, that's the guy who should have called the police and did something to stop the rape.

I'm no supporter of Joe, I never watch college football and had no clue who he was before he was splashed all over the news, I just think he's being vilified here more then the real criminals. Until I really read the news, I actually thought it was Joe himself who committed the crime, that's how the news and people are making it out to be...

They are all culpable for different reasons.
