Good Groupon deal for Old Europe posted today (expires in 2 days) -
  • For $69, you get an upscale German meal for four (up to a $150 total value), which includes:
    • One appetizer (up to a $10 value)
    • Four garden or caesar salads (up to a $9 value each)
    • Four entrees (up to a $26 value each)
  • For $22, you get $45 worth of upscale German fare for dinner.
  • For $15, you get $30 worth of upscale German fare for lunch.

I just ate there the other night, and noticed that some of the menu items had an asterisk by them, indicating that the item was not available if any coupons or deals were used. Strange policy, but to each their own I guess.

There's only 3 entrees I think subject to that. Not subject to that is the veal schnitzel which, paired with the spaetzle, is out of this world delicious.

I haven't been there lately, but my impression, as someone who lived in Germany for 10 years and is married to a German, is that the food at Old Europe is mostly Czech, not German. There are some German dishes, but somehow they aren't the same as what I remember getting in Germany.
