Nobody has yet mentioned the Beer Garden Pub (used to be Beer Garden Grill) on Folsom Blvd. Their Happy Hour goes from 3-7 with $3 house wine (Sycamore Lane) and a buck or two off beers. Lots of good selection on tap and they have a fantastic deck in the back with no smoking. Very friendly bartenders/wait staff. It just changed hands about 2 weeks ago, but all is the same for now. It's become my go-to place for a nice drink or two.
Ab's no longer involved? Who's the new owner?

According to the Fictitious Business Name Statement in the Telegraph recently it's Lisa M. Cook.

What I know I got from one of the bartenders. He said that Ab "got out" of the business. He said that they were going to be making some changes in the future and were taking suggestions, but for now everything was staying the same. From what I've seen the couple of times I've been there since, he was right so far. It's all the same for now.

When I was there the staff was friendly but did not seem well trained and food came out slow and sloppy.

Has PBR become a beer people actually WANT to drink? Have things changed since the days of $2 pitchers at the Pine Cove?
I actually think PBR is good. I like Budweiser too (not bud light). I guess I can appreciate a well-made American beer while also having my favorite finer craft beers too.
Budweiser reminds me of my childhood (LOL). On the rare occasion my dad drank beer, it was Budweiser.
