I don't think she's saying that. I think she doesn't understand why one would start taking it in the first place because it so screws everyone up and takes a heavy physical toll. Losing teeth, pocked face, etc.

Cody took the wrong road early - late elementary school and junior high. His mom has put him through Rehab at least once. The values she has are certainly not reflected in his life.
her photo was pretty rough. my guess is she's using meth. which means he probably is too. why do people even start taking it in the first place? it is such an unglamorous drug.

late elementary school? like 6th grade? wow, how sad for him and the family. and now prison likely.
