The little bridge on the Humbug-Willow Creek Trail just north of Blue Ravine between Russi and Riley has finally been replaced and is open for business. No more detour on the gravel.
Excellent!

I believe when the railroad block is built out there is going to be a shortage of parking to support daytime businesses. The residential development planned is insufficient for its own needs and will rely on the parking structure, which will be facing additional pressure from light rail by then. Shoppers and diners at hop sings, etc., are going to have to rely on on-street parking, of which there is precious little. Sutter street will have a completely different feel without at least a few antique stores, vintage furniture stores, clothing boutiques, etc. I think stores like not too shabby, grapes and ivy, melange, burlap and bees, rainbow jewelers, mercantile, are what make the street unique. if more of them disappear, what will replace them? Please explain. What will the full effect be?

Oak Avenue Parkway in Folsom.
Is it an Avenue or a Parkway?
If any of you like visiting the vendors in the Folsom Mercantile Exchange on Sutter St. do it before June 30. The building has been sold and the new owner is giving them the option of signing an agreement to vacate their spaces by June 30 or leave immediately.
Another great day in the adventure of exploration and sight.

I was a bit sad to read this this morning. Those booths brought many to Sutter St that surely used many other location on the street.

I don't think we need any more. I would love to see more daytime retail.Me, too. Wonder if it will be another bar/pub/restaurant.

Is that the same place that is only open 11am - 5pm, 7 days a week? Something that is, oh I don't know, open when people are actually walking around Sutter St might be a better fit for that space anyway. If any of you like visiting the vendors in the Folsom Mercantile Exchange on Sutter St. do it before June 30. I don't see a lot of inebriated folks cruising Sutter St with their family before/after dinner or Sat/Sun breakfast.I don't know what their hours are, but I'm not sure I'd want to be open later for inebriated people to walk around breakables. I actually see a lot of people on weekends walking around during the daytime. If they've already had lunch, what else is there to keep them there? It would be nice to see more of a mix; otherwise, we may as well rename it Bourbon St.
