It really is quite dramatic and unique. I think it looks great.

Im not angry-- but it is an ugly eye sore.
Why in the heck couldnt they just let the natural surroundings speak for itself. It is beautiful and so precious in this sprawling city scape. Empty and natural is not bad.

I'm guessing because that way pedestrians couldn't get across the street with safety.

Wtf, why are you so grumpy and angry all the time? What a sh*tty thing to wish - that a truck crashes into it and knocks it down. Should a few people be killed too? Would that quench your anger?
+1, Get a life mom... There is nothing wrong with the way the bridge looks. Like it or not, the prison has long been a symbol of this community

Yeah, SEVERAL of my friends don't like the idea behind the design. I think, though, it's OK.
What else could you do? Put up a big black Johnny Cash hat on top of the towers??
Here are two more shots showing the span now in place.

Looks fantastic. Best thing this town has come up with in a long, long time.

I enjoyed the Elliot Homes sign in the one picture, announcing more new development - could there be any more appropriate symbol of Folsom?

We could just tell supermon that the Elliot sign is racist and she'll run it over with her car. Problem solved.

Does anyone have a good picture I can use for the front page? I'd prefer without the crane and Elliott sign,
I'm out of town and can't do it myself.

It actually looks better with the bridge on it than when it was just two towers. Although, it looks more medieval than I would expect from Folsom developers. I still think wide open spanses is best for all- in the here and now & and in the future-and Im glad to see so many sent me notes supporting that. Thanks. Developers really shouldn't need to build out just to make a mark on the city. Neither should city leaders be in the pocket of those developers....but hey. 'nother story for another time.

Supermom - do you really have any idea where the funding for the bridge and trail came from?
I didn't think so. It's part SACOG - part CalTrans - and part federal. Nothing to do with developers. Sorry to burst your bubble.

Aw Cheeesey, are you on that funding committee? is that why you have your panties bunched up over someone objecting to the funding, the blatant disrespect of residents by calling them all prisoners by building a prison tower over the bridge, and the incredible mooching of JC name over a stupid song he wrote after a 6 second ride?
I don't give a wet l& loud toot who paid for it, What I have a problem with is the developers pockets being heavy and the City leaders panting for the goodies in the pockets and being willing to sign off--- on anything-- the developers in this city want. And dont think for one second they werent very influential in the building of that tower.
Chist, get over yourself. If I dont like the bridge and say so, tough dirty water. At least Im honest. Do you have any idea how many people actually dont like that tower?
A lot!

If you don't want to deal with development then you should move to the hills...

Aw Mommy . . .
No - I'm not on any funding committee - I actually just took the time to see where the funding came from. Pretty good idea - dontcha think? I try to get informed before I post - you should try it some time.
The rest of your rant just reads like white noise. Bla bla bla. ![]()
