We heard about this place and went to see if they were as good as they claimed to be. I don't know if we'll go back again, the meat was tasty but cold. I like my BBQ hot like when it comes off the rack, but the sampler plate was lukewarm at best.

Which place are  you referring to?

Sierra Smokehouse is the best bbq I've found on the West Coast. Period.

Hmm. I was there on Sat & thought it was pretty good. Way better than Dickeys.

They used to be in El Dorado Hills. I occasionally see them advertising in local papers, but they promote a gofundme page to bring them back to El Dorado Hills. That just rubs me the wrong way for some reason. It's their business, so why should I fund it, other than buying their food?

Same reason why we buy stock in publicly traded companies.  I couldn't find the Gofundme site; looks like it has been removed.  But if the investor dividend was paid in ribs, that would be a better return on investment than investing in some other stocks and bonds.

It appears it has been removed, but it is posted on their Facebook page. Payment in ribs would be good!

A nice friendly place. Trinity (3 meat & 2 sides): $23.00 quite reasonable. I got Collard Greens for the 2 sides. Absolutely delicious.
Thank you for the great meal!

I went there for their ribbon cutting the other night (they just joined the Chamber of Commerce). We had about 20 people show up. We had ribs and pulled pork. The pork was cold but tasty.

The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender, and delicious!

The owners were friendly, and passionate about their barbecue.

I'll be back.
