Agreed, Kasich is the only adult on the stage.   Too bad he is in last place among the four of them.   I think Hillary won that debate last night.  Romney should stay out of it, as much as I like the guy,  not his fight.   Chris

My teenage daughter was embarrassed and appalled when the talk turned to size of various endowments. Shamefully unpresidential, and I was disappointed that Rubio took any part in it.

I think it could be very beneficial to the country to have a moderate-ish, non-insane GOP candidate. Kasich could get some cross-over votes. I wouldn't love him, but I wouldn't be scared of him either, and at least that's a start.

Chris and Joe, Kasich isn't electable. He's not. No point in even talking much about him. He'd be just another McCain or Romney...not a very exciting candidate...and the Dems would win again. Time to stop that crap and nominate someone who excites people, which Cruz and Trump do. Both of them have great groundswells of support. They aren't perfect, but we need to be smart and nominate someone who will have no problem hammering Hillary (which Trump and Cruz will) on all of her incompetence, corruption, and criminality, and Kasich would melt under the pressure bigtime. And don't get me started on Rubio...his desperation makes him look like a petulant child. Plus, it's obvious he has the backing of the establishment, which is looking more corrupt by the day. Do we really want to continue down that pitiful path?

Remember the goal: Keep Hillary Clinton away from public office...permanently. Win at all costs. Nothing is off the table.

The future of the country hangs in the balance. People are starting to wake up, which is a very good sign for us.

Aces, I think Kasich is electable, brokered convention, Trump goes off in a huff, Kasich picks lets say Nikki Haley as his VP running mate.....?   Ohio goes Kasich in the general election and so does South Carolina.  Lots of women will vote for Kasich and Nikki over Hillary I am sure.  Trump not so sure, he's a pig.  That being said, if it is between Hillary and Trump I would hold my nose and vote Trump.  Anybody but Hillary, and no more democrats, we need to cut regulation, cut taxes, and get this economy moving.  All else will follow.  So sad the dems never see that.  Chris

Chris, I'm not sure what your thinking is regarding the economy. The two longest periods of economic growth and job creation have been during the Clinton and Obama presidencies. George W, meanwhile, was horrible for the economy.

If I vote my pocketbook, that vote goes squarely for the Democrats.

That all depends on what data you look at and for how long.  You can get any answer you want that will support your position by doing so.  That will be three pages of argument and graphs that I will spare us both.  Cut taxes, reduce regulation, let small and large businesses thrive and compete and you will get great employment numbers, great tax income for the states and the Federal government from thriving businesses and spending by individuals.  Economics is not that complicated.  And if you really want to know why the economy took a dump under Bush do some research on who killed Glass-Steagall, who pushed the CRA, Barney Frank, and Chris Dodd.  You will learn a lot.  Regards, Chris
