Checked it out with my son on the weekend...it was ok, nothing to rave about...As previously mentioned, do not like the request for a tip before service, especially when all you are doing is dropping the food off.

Has anybody been there lately? I have been very busy this summer and haven't made it down there (other than the Taps Folsom event). Just checking in.

Lunch, today. Good experience, good food, similar to my previous couple of visits.

I've been there with my family about 10 times since they opened. It's delicious every time, and as good as anything I've had in San Francisco's Mission District (I lived in SF for 10 years, and the Mission is the gold standard for taquerias). They put a lot of care into all their ingredients and their wide selection of meat choices are really tasty. Try the chile verde carnitas - you won't regret it.
As for this tip issue, this has nothing to do with this restaurant in particular. Restaurants and cafes all over town have put in these new touchscreen registers that display a tip option when you pay. Maybe the interface should be re-thought or removed entirely, but please don't judge this restaurant because of it. Just select "no tip" and pay. No need to feel obligated. You can always throw a buck in the jar later if you feel inclined.
