If you actually read the articles you posted, you will note that nowhere in either one of them does anyone claim that anything is traveling faster than the speed of light.
And to quote one of the articles:
"....but now, for the first time, researchers have been able to experimentally achieve it - transferring a black and white bitmap image from one location to another without sending any physical particles."
I do believe Marconi did exactly this in 1896. It's called radio, which is information being transferred from one place to another without sending any physical particles. So the Chinese have discovered radio. Took 'em long enough.
Do you have a degree in theoretical physics?

Do you? The second article was only to show that there is a lot of research being done in this field. From the first:
The researchers were able to transmit this message without ever directly sending a particle...
There were no pre-entangled particles, there were no particles sent, since quantum transfer is 10,000 time faster than light, and since they were able to send information, I stand by my statement.
Radio only travels at the speed of light, and depending on wavelength, can be easily blocked. Quantum communication does not have these limits. You remind me of a saying, "Argue for your limitations, and sure enough, they're yours."
Not a great attitude for cutting edge science.

Do I have a degree in theoretical physics? Of course not. Interesting that you didn't answer the same question.
Besides, my expertise resides in the business of technology. I'll spend more time on it when it starts to make money.
I actually read a couple of the papers that were referenced by the articles you posted. For some reason they appeared to be a little fishy. They weren't steeped in the typical jargon of the highly abstract tomes written by researchers on these topics. Their explanations were overly simplistic, and regurgitated well known phenomena that have been used by the technical world for decades. things like how they transmitted information by observing the phase angle of light beams. A very similar approach was developed in the 1960's for sending radio signals with tremendous amounts of information and using phase angle manipulation and observation to encode/decode the data. It was called FM stereo radio.
Again, I'll be more interested when someone starts a profitable business from your "faster than the speed of light" technologies. I can already think of such a business. Fedex could actually start a delivery service that will take the products you ordered today, and deliver them yesterday. You should buy stock in that company now.

Wow!
Today, the SacBee comes out with an editorial supporting UFO research.
Maybe our Space Brothers can help save this planet!

What are you, some kind of paranoid nutcase?? Too much eggnog? Give it a rest, UncleSkyIsFalling. Boring.

Physicists have become interested in the Romanec formula, a theory that indicates the time-space fabric of space can be
"bent" to form a worm-hole, and permit travel faster than the speed of light.
University investigations could not find fault with the formula, given supposedly by aliens to a contactee.

Vinny, That link is someone's idea of a joke. Those "equations" are mere gibberish. An 11th grader who passed his math class could tell you that. think about it. The "equations" come from Aliens, and they use the exact same symbol for pi that we do? If you buy that, there's a bridge in Brooklyn for sale.

Here: Read this. Scientists link Romanek formulas to Eistein's "metric of space."
Then get back to me.
(Yeah, That'll happen!)

I'm with you on this one Tio Vinny. I think Who_dem is thinking we know pretty much everything just about.... He limits his conclusions to current reality and scientific convention. Gotta keep that mind open and wandering, asking "what if" and "why not"....? Chris

Vinny - I'm sorry, but this is bordering on the absurd. The "equations" you referred to in an earlier post are complete gibberish. The hand drawing in the upper left hand corner of the 1st one is simply the atomic depiction of an atom of Helium. but the main point that reveals how absurd all of this is:
IT SEEMS ALL OF THE EQUATIONS FROM THE ALIENS CONTAIN MATHEMATICAL REFERENCES THAT WE DEVELOPED HERE ON EARTH. HOW DID THESE ALIENS KNOW TO USE SYMBOLS LIKE THE SQUARE ROOT SYMBOL, THE GREEK LETTERS FOR MATH CONSTANTS LIKE PI, RHO, EPSILON, SIGMA,CALCULUS NOTATIONS LIKE dx/dv, ETC. So the aliens can speak Greek?
PT Barnum was right. but you can believe what you wish. I will respect your right to do so, even if I mock the substance of your beliefs. There is some good news in all of this - it keeps crazy people occupied and off the streets.
Dream on, dream on...
