I finally saw this house yesterday. I like pink, but OMG! It looks like someone threw up Pepto Bismol all over it. I would not be a happy neighbor. It looks like it's on the end of a court, so at least it's a bit secluded. But, I bet they have people that can see it from Oak Ave hunting it down for a better look.

I wanted to say the same thing, but felt bad asking to have a picture some poor sap's house posted online.
Thanks for relieving me of my guilt by asking first.

Ok, who's going to get pictures?!

The house is in Essex at Broadstone. It is located at 2216 Cloverdale Ct.
The houses are not very big and the number of garbage cans left out is huge.
Ok the main color is pink, and the trim is purple but not all the same shade of purple. The trim purple is more harsh than the purple on the rain gutters. It does not appear to be a paint job done by professionals.
The house is at the end of the court so it has one neigbor on the right, but the sound wall against Oak Ave Parkway on the left. There is a house directly across the street that looks nice except for the garbage cans.
Regarding the pink house, I did not find it aesthetically pleasing, but that is only my opinion. Of greater concern to me was the lack of landscaping and front flower beds that look more like unmowed lawn because of the weeds.
The garage door was open and if someone was outside, I would have talked to him/her. There were no signs of life on the entire street. But obviously they don't take putting garbage cans out of sight seriously.

Once one sees it, you get the feeling that the reactions posted in this thread were expected by the homeowner. It could even be a spite paint job to spite someone on the block.
All I know is it is not your typical home color.

Nothing inherently bad about a pink and purple house. What IS bad is that Broadstone has CC&Rs to which the homeowner had to agree and sign that he/she agrees. One of those CC&Rs is to use a particular color palette in selecting a house color so that it fits with neighboring homes.
This is a breach of contract at most and a bad neighbor at least, simply because the owner did not adhere to an agreement he/she made.

Let me make this simple for you. If your neighbor treated their home like this, with the color and weeds all over, etc, you would have a hard time selling your home. If you don't own a home, you obviously can't relate to this situation.

Obviously, this resident doesn't care how much attention they get. The residence is visible off of Oak Avenue between Bidwell and Iron Point. If they wanted to remain private and seclusive they wouldn't be so flamboyant.
