YES! That movie was trash. I hate movies that were likely written when the writer was likely on drugs. Being John Malcovich was like that too.

My least favorite movie was "The Thin Red Line".

Thank you! I am not the only person who thought this movie was the most awful piece of crap ever produced.

I don't know what people liked in this movie... am I missing something?!?!

Yeah, every once in a while a movie comes along that everyone thinks is pure genius but that just falls flat. At the risk of offending a lot of Samuel Jackson-quoting fanboys, I felt that way about "Pulp Fiction". Yeah, I *got* the whole bonk-me-over-the-head redemption theme, and it was good to see John Travolta working again (and wearing a UCSC Banana Slugs t shirt!), but I went into it having been told that Quentin Tarantino was some kind of boy wonder because he cut the movie into three parts and told them out of order. I guess maybe if you're 18 and had no experience at all with non-linear storytelling that may seem like genius. But it's not. I didn't have a problem with there being violence, since the characters *were* violent people, but it did seem so reverently overdone that at a certain point it was masturbatory.

Maybe if I had just gone to see it without hearing all of the hype it would have been different. It certainly wasn't the worst movie I've seen, but I just left thinking "whatever"

For my husband and I it was Forest Gump. Didn't like it a bit, didn't understand the hype or its success. Still don't.

For me that's an example of a movie where I saw it when it opened, almost by accident, and hadn't heard a thing about it. So I thought, "okay that was kind of cute - it was a little long but the thing with splicing in historical footage was a nice gimmick and the war scenes were well done". I didn't think anything about it and then about a week later, every moron and his brother is walking around saying "life is like a box of chocolate" and "stupid is as stupid does" and talking about what an amazing movie it was and how Tom Hanks should get an Oscar (this was back when all you had to do get a best actor Oscar was to play a retarded guy). I was thinking "well, it wasn't *that* great".

If I had seen it after the hype I would have been really disappointed.

Plan 9 from Outer Space....you cannot beat that. Its so bad, its become a cult classic!!!

Go watch the movie "Ed Wood" with Johnny Depp and see what "Plan 9" is all about

Well.... if we're talking "amazingly off-the-scale bad" like Plan 9, then it's hard to beat "Manos: Hands of Fate"

Ugh....sounds bad too. I read somewhere that Plan 9 was voted the worst movie ever.....but maybe that wins

No no no.. I think we're sticking to movies that are just bad, not so bad they're good. One in that category, however, is "The Lost Continent".

Tagline: A living he// that time forgot!

Plot Summary: This film starts out like the Love Boat on acid, as a cast of unpleasant characters, all with horrible secrets...

Excellent piece of trash movie!
