If it's going to take all of that work for each $35 card - it is not, in my opinion, worth the effort. Might not technically be a "scam" - but it certainly looks like a war of attrition . . .

Congratulation for the 1-st card ..finally.
I just hope all of you will get it and it will be not the last one.....
It's really looks frustrating though..

Gave it some time and called again. I got the card activated. We'll see if I can spend the money on it.

The card is only 6 weeks late (my Terms and Conditions said I would receive the card 4-6 weeks after I sent it and it's been 12).

My next card is already 2 weeks late...

WOW! My dad had two really great sayings when I was growing up that I think are applicable. 1rst. "If I had a dog that whined as much as you I think I would shoot it and put it out of it misery." 2. "You would gripe about being hung with a new rope because it might chafe your neck." These folks have taken on a major problem, over 100K bbz customers, nearly 20K more than anticipated. They have done everything posible to fulfill the obligations. They have come through with your card, and all you can say is "It was late and we will see if I can spend it!" Absolutely unbelievable. I think you should change your user name to Eeyor, as in Winnie the Pooh...

Speaking of user names, what does NOTW mean? If it means what I suspect, then why are you on here bashing people?

Not bashing. I just know that my dad had alot of good things to say when I was younger and I wish I had paid more attention to them.

Really, that isn't bashing? Just innocently professing your love for Daddys teachings? You didn't answer... What is NOTW?

#1. How do you know how many customers they took over?
#2. Do you know how much businesses like Becks paid MFT for this "philanthropy?" It wasn't free.
#3. Besides what you have read in this forum, what do you actually know about Tidewater, BBZ, MyFreeTravel, and Becks?
#4. WWJD? Though shalt not Judge Mr. NOTW.

This place gets more interesting everyday. And I thought the trumpet players' forums had all the juveniles. Keep it going. I think my card is arriving Friday or Saturday.

Just wanted to chime in here and say I think I'm being scammed too. I don't have the optimism that you have and find it interesting that you keep thinking you're going to see that card any day now.

Like the others said that I read here, I mailed in my receipts and certificate to myfreetravel.com in August, and have yet to receive anything from them. The "check status" page at their web site shows that they have received my certificate, it is valid, and that they have mailed my gift card around the end of September. Uh-huh, got nothing so far, and it is November 6 (obviously). I tried to call their number listed by the BBB and got nowhere; I have emailed them recently - awaiting response (should I hold my breath? I don't think so).

Oh that's RICH!!!!!.....So, once JM ACTIVATES the card THEN you will believe. What next???......Are you going to want to smell the fumes of the gas going into his car before
you believe?????....Or maybe you will require JM to send HIS receipts to you before you
believe?????...What a piece of work!!!!!!.....I now kind of feel pity for you that you spending all that time (and limited brain capacity) coming up with that elementary school $75 per hour series of equations to prove (to yourself) that your 8 hours of time pursuing MFT will payoff. What you didn't figure was that the eight hours promptly turned into 20 hours for you to come up with all that and then actually type it in. In addition, you never factored
ACTUALLY GETTING THE CARD!!!!!....While I realize you haven't gotten it yet, the fact
that I got mine and JM got his means you will get yours.

I guess those visions of receiving the highest hourly payoff in your life are swirling down the drain. Guess you are going to have to get a real job now. Sorry about that!!!

Wow I'm amazed. Once you get it working I will have faith in myfreetravel. Good first step though.

I think what people are saying in general here is basically that myfreetravel.com definitely has the feel of a scam, and that likely they're only sending cards to a few of the many that complain loud enough. I too should have received mine a long time ago but haven't.

I will keep you all posted if I ever receive mine. I probably haven't complained loud enough yet to be one of the lucky few who get what should be coming to them regardless of having to complain.

It's hard to believe you all flaming each other. I guess the flamers feel they can't reach the real target (myfreetravel) so it comes out at readers and responders of the topic instead.

While I am not sure who NOTW is or where he/she gets those numbers but the
crux of what he/she said is RIGHT. I have been saying for weeks now that this
is not a scam. Bad customer service, yes......Bad PR management, yes.....They
simply over promised and under-delivered, not unlike many companies. If they
can get on top of the backlog and get the Visas out monthly then I will consider
marketing these things again. They must earn all of our trust back by getting
more efficient and under-promising/over-delivering. Time will tell.

I still say that if you want to get your cards, be the squeaky wheel. It worked for
JM.

Nobody should have to be a squeaky wheel in order to get what is rightfully ours, should we? Not if myfreetravel is truly legit.
