NO MORE TRAFFIC!!!!! The reason I moved to Folsom is quickly moving away. I have never been anti-development, but what can I say. Putting a mall on E Bidwell is really going to suck. I prefer going to someone elses neighborhood if I have to go to a mall (which I avoid at all costs). Now we are just going to have another reason for everyone outside of Folsom to come into Folsom. Don't get me started on light rail. Why do we [residents] care about more sales tax revenue? We don't need to build anything else!!! OK, except the new damn, I mean dam bridge.

Just to create a little controversy:
I wish there was a WAL-MART SUPERSTORE in Folsom.
I wish they understood English.
I wish I could swipe my card without choosing my language.
I wish the self-check-out's moved faster than a snail squashed on the sidewalk. Heck, I wished any line at Walmart did.
(I'll share my WalMart Secret with you, as long as you promise not to use it when I am there)
1) Always park and go in the back door.
2) Unless it is an odd time and the line is short (by the back door), and if you don't have a bunch of stuff, buy it at the sporting-goods counter.
3) Laugh as youwalk past the lemings.
4) Ask yourself why you still shop at a store you hate.
(Helpful WalMart tip #2)
When you are hurting for cash, make yourself feel better by playing the "WalMart game."
My wife and I do this when we have exceptionally slow months. Go through WalMart and try to find one item (just one) that you can't afford (I bet you can't do it - even most teens). I know, you may have to dip into the bank account for a TV, but technically if you wanted it and had poor self-control, you could buy it. Then go home and be thankful you didn't do such a thing and be greatful for the blessings you have.
When I moved (returned) here in 2001, I was shocked when I heard English at Walmart.... never heard it in LA. That lasted about a year.
WinCo.... ever notice that hardly any of the WinCo patrons live here? I have to say, I don't blame any of them for coming, I would go to their neighborhood if they had the only WinCo, can't beat the prices, anywhere. But Folsom, what a strange place for a discount grocery store..... I mean even retail rent is out of control. But I guess when you have a city counsel who doesn't know how to quit, big things keep moving in. Do you think Folsom will be "business-friendly" for long? And I mean business-friendly to the little guy, not the big one with vast amounts of resources.

I hate to bring in movie lines but here's one from Youve got mail.
"1..2...3...4... We don't need no superstore"
Now Wal-Mart is not a Fox Books but you can get the olive oil like costco.
(HAHA)

Its been nearly 10 years that I sent information about BPS to the powers to be ( here in Folosm), trying to encourage them to solicit BPS to move to Folsom and NOW they are moving to Sacramento (Downtown). I read where BPS anticipates getting visitors/customers from Oregon & Nevada to visit Sacto.
We really dropped the ball on this one....a very unique specialty store that attracts customers from 100's miles around.
BTW, BPS is a private company paying to help transform the Sacto downtown...without raising sales taxes on the rest of us.
What a simple idea!

Although the Original BPS in Springfield MO is a lot of fun. I go there every year.

At least W.M. is an American held Co. I would rather be put out of business by a Co. from my own country. If I was in China, I wouldn't mind the deed coming from Costco.
BTW: Don't expect any support from them if your car is vandalized in their lot (hopefully this never happens).... I learned the hard way.

Confirmed via the powers that be who run the city.
