I think many of you are right; chains can afford places in nicer centers & have more leverage with suppliers. That being said, is there any place in Folsom that is more than a 15 minute drive?
I do wish more people would think about is what it means to support a small locally owned business. It honestly pains me to see people waiting outside of BJ's. It's a good place, don't get me wrong, but $$ spent at local restaurants has a greater chance at staying in our community. A local small business owner lives in your community; they may be your neighbors. Local business owner own homes in your community. If a local business fails, quite often a for sale sign will go up in your neighborhood. This hurts all of our property values. A bit heavy thought when you are thinking about where to go to dinner, but a true community should seek to support each other.
I know some of my customers drive by the fancier "chain" places on their way to my shop. I can't tell you how much I appreciate you! I do wish there were a few more...

PS. Folsom Strings is a great deal and also has great service and you don’t have to wait outside for a seat.
