275 miles of border wall now completed (not "3 miles" like Vinny said).

From the DHS website today:

"Ten more miles completed last week - the fourth week in a row at this new faster pace.
Also last week, another new contract award was announced, to Fisher Construction, for 17 new miles on the South side of Laredo City, for $289 million ($17 Mil/mile).

That was the second contract awarded recently around Laredo (for a total of 31 miles in that Sector). Both of those contracts were awarded with this year's Congressionally appropriated funds for the border wall, and all of those 31 miles will be totally "New" miles, where no barrier of any sort existed before.

Another awesome week of intense Border Wall construction! On pace to meet the announced goals"

Before Trump's election, there already existed hundreds of miles of existing fencing or other structures.

The Trump administration tends to lump repairs to this existing fencing into its tally of

how many miles of new wall have been built.

Isn't it amazing how two things can be true at the same time but your particular truth can tell a completely different story if you leave out the other.

The VINTARD is correct that only 3 miles of border fence exists where it didn't before. If that's the only truth you're told, that doesn't look good for the POTUS... and that's what Vin would have you believe.... through deceipt.

Here's where an intelligent person would ask: How can hundreds of millions of $$s have been spent but only 3 new miles created?

The answer is that the conversion to the "enhanced border system" is the "275 miles completed, 316 miles under construction, 157 miles under pre-construction. (738 Total)" which is a much clearer, more accurate and more honest accounting of the situation.... and, of course, looks amazing for the POTUS.

Here is all that we know as of today about the shooter outside the White House:

"A 51 year old male allegedly approached a uniformed division officer who was standing at his post near the White House. The man told the agent he had a weapon and while he approached, took off in a sprint and 'in a drawing motion, withdrew an object from his clothing. The suspect then crouched into a shooter's stance as if about to fire the weapon. At that point the agent fired his weapon and struck the subject in the torso".

No other information is available right now regarding the man's motivations.
