60 percent of the mall is now leased.
Part of the reason for Palladio's relative success is the strength of the local economy in Folsom. So far this year, the amount of real estate occupied by retailers in and around Sacramento has increased by about 220,000 square feet, said Garrick Brown, national retail research director at the commercial real estate firm Cassidy Turley.
Of that growth, 160,000 square feet has been in Folsom, Brown said
"It's the fastest growth market right now," he said. "For me, it's simple. It's low unemployment." In May, the unemployment rate was 5 percent in Folsom and 10.8 percent in the wider Sacramento metropolitan area, according to the state Employment Development Department.
The center will be about 650,000 square feet when it is completed, Wright said. Next month, Sports Authority will move to Palladio from a nearby site. Also opening in August are San Francisco Style Sourdough Eatery and Ambiance, a clothing store. Clothing retailer Charlotte Russe and Color Me Mine, a pottery store, will follow soon.

Is H&M open yet? If so, where is it in relation to the theaters?
Same question for White House Black Market.
A big thank you to anyone that can answer.
According to the Folsom City Website page, "New Businesses Coming To Folsom" H&M is expected to open in December.

Thanks. That would explain why I haven't seen it yet.

Barnes and Nobles?? They used to sell a product that nobody buys anymore, I am told you can still see this product in a Library (which is a new term for museum). The latest rumor according to a friend who is being woo'd, is.......there are two highly desired stores that are in negotiation...nothing signed yet. Apparently Palladio shares this info with potential leasee's to "entice" them to sign on......

Apple makes sense, although I would see it happening farther down the road once Palladio establishes itself. They do over $5k/square foot at their Roseville store. To put that into perspective, the entire mall (excluding department stores) does around $550/square foot.
The Barnes & Noble rumor has come and gone so many times over the years. Their original building they were planned for is now going to be the Sports Authority building. Last I heard, there are no spaces large enough to accomodate something of that size as all the buildings are planned for smaller stores. However, I'm not too familiar with what buildings have been built and/or if there are any pads left that can be combined or what. They could do something like they are doing for H&M and that is just dedicating a very large portion of a building for them, but that would cut down the number of stores drastically, but might be a good thing considering they're only at 60% leased.
So yes, B&N is possible; however, personally, I don't think it would happen...the old Sports Authority space that they are vacating would definitely work though

Any more updates for us Eric?
And sorry, no, I don't have any new updates on Palladio.
I tend to have more news more often for the Galleria, Arden, and the Fountains than Palladio as the news seems to trickle in far slower for there.

I believe the Apple store will be going into one of the last larger size buildings. I think she said 10,000 sq ft. I can't remember exactly.

If B&N is just a rumor, why would the Palladio people tell my friend they are in negotiation? Now? and also share the location (which she told me b/c it's in the same building where she originally planned to locate)?

You're the one who called it "the latest rumor"...and why wouldn't a developer try to woo a potential tenant with someone they may or may not be talking to? How dare they use business tactics. Developers even put tenants on plans just to try and woo other potential tenants, even when they're not talking to those tenants. You'll notice there's usually fine print that says something along the lines that the tenants on the plans shouldn't be taken into account for business decisions unless verified by the tenant.
Now what?
And share the location of what?

Ok...so it's a business tactic. I can accept that.
I hope it turns out to be true. That would be awesome.
The current proposed location for B&N is..... from E Bidwell as you turn onto the street Chicago Pizza is on, go past it, past the parking garage, and the next street you can turn right...that's the corner. I think she said the space was 25,000 sqft. (I don't know the names of the streets)
My friend was given an updated map with the proposed location of the Apple store. Her shop would be nearby. But she had technical difficulties opening the document on her phone, so even she doesn't know exactly where it is, yet.
