Somehow I have a feeling it will NOT be the top 1% who pay the bill.

It'll be the same working-class folks who put someone like Trump into office.

Guess they have to learn the hard way.

According to estimates by the Tax Policy Foundation, the top 1 percent of earners (incomes in excess of $615,000) are paying nearly half — 45.7 percent — of individual income taxes for tax year 2014. The top 20 percent, with incomes above $134,300, contribute nearly 84 percent of all federal income taxes.Apr 20, 2015

Any other incorrect, liberal, progressive NONSENSE from you today or is this it.....?

Of course, all those statistics are meaningless now that Turnip has reduced taxes for the top 1%.

They just got a 40% tax bonus.

That means more of all taxes will have to be paid by the middle class.

Assuming the government needs to spend about the same amount each year, there will either

be drastic reductions in governments services, or else the middle class will pay more. :CRAZYLOCO:

No nice way to say this:

That strategy is both stupid and cruel to the vast majority of Americans.  :KOOLAID:

BTW, not fooled by complex questions, like "Have you stopped beating your wife?"

Meaningless....?   I think not, let's just ask PEW....

A Pew Research Center analysis of IRS data from 2015, the most recent available, shows that taxpayers with incomes of $200,000 or more paid well over half (58.8%) of federal income taxes, though they accounted for only 4.5% of all returns filed (6.8% of all taxable returns).  By contrast, taxpayers with incomes below $30,000 filed nearly 44% of all returns but paid just 1.4% of all federal income tax – in fact, two-thirds of the nearly 66 million returns filed by people in that lowest income tier owed no tax at all.

Oh, and I wonder how those 66 million, who filed but paid no taxes at all, actually get money back, voted.....?   I am guessing they look for the "D" after the candidates name, just like you Tio Vinny.  Voting for more free stuff and then turn around and complain about people actually working hard and long making more money than you....!

2015!: Again - that's pre-Trump tax give-away to the super-rich.

Ergo: Yes, Meaningless.

Crazy report for Feb 25 -

This time, the crazy observation is aimed at the President of the NRA.  His speech at the CPAC convention a couple days ago revealed his desperation regarding the growing call from teenagers (who vote or will vote soon) for California style gun controls nationwide.  The NRA has made huge efforts to work under the radar for years and it has paid off well for them - until now.  The covers are being pulled off the NRA strategy to reveal the ways they control our elected officials.  And corporate America is making efforts to disassociate themselves with the NRA, and this has sent NRA leadership into the panic mode.  Their house of cards is crumbling before their eyes.  About time...

Crazy report for March 1 -

Just when you thought this couldn't get any crazier, here's the latest:

NRA members have branded Donald Trump’s plans for stricter gun control legislation “stupid” and a “betrayal” after the president suggested reforms on Wednesday.  In an open meeting with congressional Democrats and Republicans, Trump embraced raising the age limit on purchasing certain weapons and suggested that law enforcement should be allowed to confiscate people’s guns before going through due process in a court.  During the meeting, Trump called for a “beautiful” bill which would expand background checks on gun purchases and restrict young people from purchasing certain weapons. But it was his suggestion that in some cases law enforcement should be allowed to “take the guns first, go through due process second” – that most alarmed gun owners on the right.  Here's the video:

The NRA paid $30M to Trump's campaign and this is what they got.  Maybe he's finally listening to the people, not his campaign contributors.  But then he might change his mind in three days.   It's happened before - and before - and before - and before (ad nauseum)

Every American should be concerned at Trump's flippancy or lack of understanding of the 4th, 5th and 14th Amendment.s The fact that you are too partisan to see the root of the issue is telling. This isn't aboput the NRA (or 5 million law abiding members), it's about the erosion of due process guaranteed in our Constitution. Duh.

No partisanship intended or expressed.  I offered no personal opinion on Trump's words other than to characterize them as "crazy".  I suspect you would agree.  I've done journalism for a career and am extremely sensitive to, and knowledgeable of the Bill of Rights.

Crazy, but maybe crazy is what the world needs right now.

‘Trade Wars Are Good,’ Trump Tweets

https://www.wsj.com/...eets-1519996161

President Donald Trump Friday said that “trade wars are good” in a tweet the morning after he announced the U.S. would impose steep tariffs on steel and aluminum, a move that prompted America’s trading partners around the world to suggest they would retaliate.

Just about every economist and investor in the entire world knows

that trade wars are dangerous and counter-productive.

Now, there are people in spiritual circles who claim the current

political and financial system needs to collapse in order to

move us into a more egalitarian era, where economic equality is

the norm, and the system is not rigged to favor the super-rich.

So, maybe Trump ruining the world economy will serve a higher

purpose in the end. I'll have to keep an open mind.

Sounds an awful lot like Communism there Comrade Vinny...
