My Free travel has been in business for over 22 years, they have been doing the grocery card and gas promotions for over 5 years. this company was checked out by out side law firms prior to us deciding to go with them as the company to resolve this issue. we have done our research on this company and they are not going anywhere per the lawyers and the research. I am in the process of getting a substantial number of customers taken care of. all customers that got the original promotion get this new card as there replacement and a $50 in store credit. The $9.95 activation fee is reimbursed to the consumer with there first gift card. The directions are very specific an we encourage all of the consumers to read the terms and conditions, so they know the rules of the voucher promotion. This customer was told that when companies file for bankruptcy everyone losses the consumer and us. We are not able to honor his request of the in store credit or other discount. He already has received the new voucher and the $50 in store credit that we are issuing to all of our voucher customers. As to resolving the promotion problem, this is the voucher company we have gone with. This is the option we have for our customers, we leave it up to them to utilize it or not.

We can now sit down to Christmas dinner at our new dining room furniture and not be thinking about the money we were supposed to start receiving back for gas in 2008! Good luck to all of you still trying to collect. If you got your vouchers from Ashley here's the news on their settlement agreement:

Doesn't sound like a good deal to me but I suppose it would be better than nothing.

How can they got all the money and leave customers with nothing without being punished????!!!!
what if I am going to open such a company, I probably will get jackpot!

Was this info in a press release or an email? I want to send the info to Beck's in hopes that they fulfill the promotion themselves.
Also, anyone contact Beck's yet to see what they are going to do? I am going to wait a few days before I contact them since I've gotten two stories written about them in the paper, they aren't likely to want to talk to me.

There is a responce from Becks on my BBB claim:
Beck’s Furniture just found out on Monday the 21st that My Free Travel has closed indefinitely. My Free Travel has not stated or printed that they have filed for bankruptcy.
The customers were promised a redemption program that paid out over 2 years. In light of the recent events, Beck’s is investigating the situation. In an attempt to help the consumer receive this. Beck’s Furniture never promised or advertised $500 in cash to our customers. As soon as Beck’s get word of what the next step is, all of our voucher customers will be contacted. Beck’s Furniture is doing everything that we can to help our customers when dealing with this independent company.
After BBZ failed with their coupon NO ONE from BECKS has contacted me , I had to find out myself from the media.......

As a side note, I called Beck's to see why they were still running ads for the bogus promotion and I got this email:
In regards to the message, you left with my staff member. Beck has stopped running this promotion as of last Tuesday. I have been told it take time to pull the ads from print, radio and TV. However, to assure you sir we have pulled them.
