I dont' believe that for one bit. It is about Christian beliefs being pushed on all within the community. The whole topic is, whether it is a Lingerie store or a liquor store. The whole "I don't believe in drinking, smoking, pornography, or even sexy evening wear so it must be wrong and nobody should have it" belief.
The point I was trying to make is that it becomes a push of beliefs instead of simple acceptance of responsibility. If you don't want your children to watch R rated movies, don't let them. If you don't want them shopping at a store that sells pornography.... don't let them. If you don't want them exposed to Lingerie don't shop for it. Dont' go on some "crusade" trying to shut them down because it is not something you like. Heck I don't like Sushi, but I am not going to start pushing for the closure of all the Sushi restaurants in Folsom.

Two problems with your arguments:
1) Sushi and such aren't dangerous to children
2) The people who've described the conditions in these stores said that the porn magazines are not covered in any way AND out in plain sight NEAR the candy - that the middle schoolers (who are NOT WITH THEIR PARENTS at the time) are purchasing.
I can dislike the idea of porn, and still let you have it as an adult, but I CAN'T defend a store owner's right to display it in public view where kids hang out. People can't be with their teens 24/7 By the way, I also see a difference between having it in stores where it has to be specifically searched for versus having it where a kid couldn't help but notice.
So from your viewpoint, you think it's perfectly fine for anyone to see and purchase such stuff?
