Charming Charlie is at the Fountains. It's a great place to find affordable accessories.
I just bought gift cards there for my wife and daughters. They are going tonight to get some accessories for the holidays. Most of the stuff seems pretty reasonably priced.
I met Claire, the store manager. She seemed really enthusiastic about store.
I think they're going to be a big hit once word gets out.

I went there tonight with my daughter and her friend. I don't recommend bring kids there. Lots and lots of vulgar words and such. It's too bad because there is some cool stuff for them too.For a fun store, stop by Kwirkworld. Just opened today. It's next to Blue Nami. They call themselves an Urban Gift Shop and trust me you've not seen anything else like it. You'll have tons of fun just looking at all the very different categories of gifts. You will not find any of the items they carry at any other retailer, certainly not at Target, WalMart, Kohls. This is an independent retailer, who has two other locations, one in San Luis Obispo and the other one in Fresno.

If they do well, they will remain open after the holidays, and put in the candy counter.
I noticed "Kwirkworld's" tonight, lots of people in there. Looks like a fun shop. Now I need to go back & just walk around.

I checked out their website. Yes, I wouldn't go in there with kids either. Reminds me of Evangelines in old Sacramento.
I hope See's gets a candy counter. We always pick ours out by hand. Driving around today, it seems like most of the stores are catering to the teenage to young adult female shoppers. I am sure that is the demographic that spends the most at a fashion mall, but it would be nice to see more classic women's clothing, like White House Black Market. Charming Charlie will probably also do well with the younger set, but it is definately more affordable than it is quality. Lots of selection though.

They did tell me if they do well, they will come permanently with all the usual bells & whistles (candy counter). So irritated! Was all excited to go get a few pieces of Sees candy after seeing a movie today...until I realized it is just a temporary store! Ugghh wish they would come into Palladio permanently! Will just have to keep going to Galleria for my Sees fix!

Did you even go inside? It's really not that bad.

We did go inside but I wasn't interested in buying a box of candy, just a few pieces. I hope they do well enough to open a permanent store. There is one in Rancho so if they can sustain a store I wouldn't think Folsom would have a problem doing so as well. They did tell me if they do well, they will come permanently with all the usual bells & whistles (candy counter).

Kwirkworld, See'sSo here's the list so far...
Ambiance, Apricot Lane, AT&T, Blue Nami, Button Up, Chicago Fire, Chops, Claire's, Charlotte Russe, Freebirds, Gymboree, H&M, Johnny Rockets, Kirklands, Massage Heights, Nail Palazzo, Palladio 16, Panera, Pinkberry, SF Sourdough, Sports Authority, Threading Place, Toby Keiths, White House Black Market, Whole Foods
I did a walk thru the lifestyle mall in the cold on sunday, and I see that almost all of these stores are in place, except SF Sourdough...wonder if that is still coming (it's still listed on the website). I was amazed at that no one was inside the trendy boutique stores (Apricot Lane, Button Up) and the prices were outrageous!
I saw a couple of newer stores not previously mentioned: Color me mine, Grebitus jewelers, Rod Works, Red Robin is on it's way....
I heard See's was in the process of converting to a full fledged store as business is good!
There were people in the stores, and the parking was full but it still seemed pretty dead except over by Whole Foods & the movie theater/restaurant area. It was nice walking around except that it was so cold. It really is a beautiful area. I think it will be very nice once all the empty stores fill up & the weather gets a little warmer.
Edit: I decided that I would continue to do a weekly stop at WF, once in awhile to the theater & restaurants & SA, and there is one shop that I will do my annual visit. Everything else is too pricey for me. But I may go to just walk & window shop.

I was there a week or two ago and saw SF Sourdough. It was closed at the time, but it seemed to be an up and running business.
