Tuesday is a VERY important day for Folsom! Time to clean house and dust off the cobweb-ridden City Council! Our Mayor Kerri Howell has sent out a call to action to her supporters. She clearly is worried about one candidate - Roger Gaylord. Check out her post below! So did she have her friends "like" and "friend" Roger so they could keep tabs on him for her??? It will be interesting to see what her minions post on his page in the next few days! This is the kind of leadership We have in Folsom!! The equivalent of a high school girl telling her clique not to like someone! My high school girl behaves better than this!
 
I'm curious what her supporters have to say in her defense?

Councilmember Howell - proving again that she is unfit to represent our City.
For those of you who may think this is a new low for Kerri, you are wrong. It is merely par for the course for, in my opinion, a deceitful and lying (fact not fiction) character.
Look at the facts:

• She and the other two snakes have funding, from those that control them, of tens of thousands apiece, far greater than the combined spending of the 4 challengers.
• They have locked up every significant corner of the City for placement of their signs.
• They have directed that City staff (paid for by all of us) travel through the City even on weekends to steal the signs of challengers. Mind you, staff has to trespass on private property to do so.
• They have the advantage of being the incumbent by having name recognition and more coverage by the media.

But that is not good enough for her.
 
Please evaluate the most critical and revealing comment she made:
"There does not appear to be any security [on Roger Gaylord's Facebook pages]"
 
So in her world, it is OK to do such an unethical, immoral thing simply because "security" is not present!   Wow!   And she is representing you and our City and makes decisions that affect all of us. This coupled with her long time lies about south of 50 and her recent theft of our water leaves no doubt that she and the other two snakes need to be kicked out of office.
 
Unfortunately, I believe it will be all three snakes returning to office. Perhaps when the theft of our water issue really hits the fan, and her true character is revealed, a recall may actually get off the ground.
 
School Bonds - really thought I could stay out of this one.
Now turning to the School bond, I hope I am not the only one that recognized how our current school board member, Teresa Stanley, prominently "liked" Kerrie's unethical and immoral post. Teresa, you not only lost my vote for Measure G, but my faith in you as well. Very sad. Really, I expected much more out of you, such as counseling your friend when they are clearly out of line. But perhaps your own lust after school bonds has clouded your better judgment. You are so much better than that, better than her. As they say with problem kids - maybe they just got mixed up with the wrong crowd.
 
For those still on the fence regarding Measure G, please vote No. I had kept quiet on this before, but I feel Teresa's comment have proven my concern. There is collusion behind the scenes regarding the $700 million school bond for south of 50 (passed several years ago by a handful of "residents" in an apartment complex next to the auto mall). There is the very real possibility that that bond will be challenged in court and overturned, leaving all of us to help pay for the new schools south of 50.

I saw the "discussion" between Kerri and Ed and WOW. First, one of Kerri's supporters summed it up very well and I don't think it was planned. He said, "No grow does not pay the bills." That's what our incumbents want to do - sell out Folsom to pay the bills (and pay their bills). I wish I had better quality shots of it. There's also a great video going around of her arguing with a historic resident during a candidates forum, the one where she rolled her eyes at him and told him if he didn't like it he could move to a gated community before walking away from the microphone. I'm just so flabbergasted by her consistent rudeness. I shouldn't be surprised anymore, yet I am.

Not fake. The following was sent around yesterday after Kerri did her best to put down and belittle a long time Folsom resident on her FB page. It shows her true colors. There's also a video around somewhere from one of the recent debates where she tells another long time resident to move if he doesn't like heavy traffic in his neighborhood. The queen sure can get mean when someone dares to question her and does not blow smoke up her behind like her minions constantly do.

Election day is just a few days away. Now is the time for all of my friends to unlike or unfriend Gaylord. It is also time for you to post on his FB page - either his personal or the one for 2014 - there are two and there does not seem to be any security on either of them. If you are supporting me, I need you to post on his FB page, why you are, and if you are not voting for him, why you are not. In fact, feel free to post about me, Steve and Andy and why you love Folsom and how much the 3 of us have done for the City and its policies. We are small business! We love Folsom and together with all of the other voters, small and big businesses in Folsom and our awesome City employees and the Chamber - we built this City together! Folsom is the best place to live, not only in Northern CA, but in the US. Don't let it fall into the wrong hands. Please post, repost, like and share this with everyone you know.

You have made your opinion known and you should vote for whoever you think will do the best job in leading the City of Folsom. If you think that you know what is best for Folsom, good for you. I am sure that you believe that you are extremely well informed and I would disagree with your assessment. I do have one request, in future posts, could you please spell my name correctly? My thinking it's just time to have new faces in city council... and someone not backed by all the "stake holders"... a term you "Guvment" types like to throw around... you know the Police&Fire unions.. Bizpac... the various developers... 

20 years is too long Kerri.. lets have someone else besides the same old guard running the show... we're tired of the same old bait and switch.. the flim flam... the political fights... when ever someone disagrees with your side... because we're "always wrong" on the issues....

I"m hoping people in town will send you, Steve and Andy on a vacation... take a break for a while... let someone else do it.. and if they screw up...? Then come back and run again...

I am not willing to take the risk that someone will screw up Folsom. There is no bait and switch. There is no flim flam. Is your real estate business in Folsom suffering? No, I did not think so. And neither does the Sacramento Association of Realtors - which is why I have their endorsement too! How long have you been selling real estate in Folsom? - maybe it is time you turned your license over to a "fresh face", because track records and experience don't seem to be important to you. You live in one of the safest places in CA and you are bashing Folsom PD and Fire? We have the best jobs/housing balance in the region. We are the 2nd best place in CA to raise a family or find a job. We have nationally recognized amenities here - all of which make it a lot easier for you to sell houses here - you want to turn the City of Folsom policy setting over to those who can't see past the historic district and who think that "social media" is the most important issue in Folsom? Sorry Ed, but that tells me you don't have a clue what is important to this community or what makes it such a great place to live, work and play.

Oh contraire Miss Kerri.... I've been here for 25 years now and have been through many of bottles with you guys as you know.... The reason why places like Lexington Hills and the Parkway have a lot of trails and open space wasn't because we had help from the critters on the council.... For example they paid 600,000 dollars for that lot where the Folsom kids play park is...when the "use" showed it should be 60,000.. You weren't on the city council then but that's the kind of crap that's been going on for so long.... There are not that many trails and parkways over there in Empire ranch really is there not like Lexington Hills and the Parkway.... If it wasn't for neighbors that formed the Lexington Hills community organization or natona station community organization... I don't know what would have happened to the city of Folsom... As it was...we had just a few minor wins... You're proud shoot to get our initiative off the balance and you guys put measure W on there with the water issue plain as day... and now you're backing off of that.... Excuse me for any misspellings I'm doing a voice to text while I'm out showing property.... And one more thing it's not the City Council that makes a city great or a school board that makes the schools good it's the parents and the citizens to take an active involvement and that's what I'm doing

No Ed, you are showing a house in the great City of Folsom. Are you telling them what happened 25 years ago, or are you telling them how wonderful the City is now? Have you mentioned that you are bashing the mayor on her facebook page while you show the property and that she is giving you commentary that you are likely using in getting the property sold - probably not. Are you quoting the challengers views of Folsom (yeah, it is a great place now, but what will it be in the future). I didn't think so.

Hey Kerri... you know when I show folks homes here in town I sure as hell tell them it's a great city... but I don't give you or anyone on city council credit for the city and I don't give any credit to the school board for our schools... because the credit all goes to the people that live here...

It wasn't an accident what happened in Lexington Hills... we had to fight city council to get what we wanted... remember we were upset because you guys caved a bunch in Empire Ranch.. it's not bad... but hey it could have been much better...

We'll see who wins and even if you stay on the council, there's going to be some new people who are going to keep up the pressure...

If you want to see a change tomorrow, get on your Facebook accounts and share the challengers info with all your friends and family. There are a lot of undecideds out there still and people who will just vote for any three they happen to choose while at the polls. Obviously I hope you'll encourage people to vote for me but whatever you decide you can help spread the word. Don't leave it to luck and who has the biggest/most signs!

Why NOTto vote for the city council incumbents. Long, but I beg you to read:
- they sold vacant land surplus land worth $21M to a developer for $7M without allowing everyone who wanted to bid, bid on it
- they kept telling residents that S50 could be developed by the County, despite having received a letter from the county saying they had no plans or desire to develop that land
- Steve, Kerri and Jeff said that the landowners paid for ALL the planning costs for S50 when there wasn't even system in place to track the hours staff actually spent planning
- they promoted Measure W as a way to protect our water for N50 and then sold it to the S50 landowners after the fact
- they approved development of about 12,000 units (houses and businesses) using a water source that is supposed to come from conservation of existing water users
- they planned for almost eight years to have the S50 landowners acquire a new source of water to be delivered to that area at a cost of about $360M dollars (using Sac Bee figures), with the landowners NEVER once making any public complaint about the cost, then agreed to sell them water from N50 for about $49M. If the landowners NEVER aired a public complaint about paying $360M, why in the world would anyone sell them water for $49M, when they were willing to pay $360M to diversify Folsom's water source? (Because they serve the developers before the residents.)
- they allowed development to occur and NOT have a mechanism in place to make development pay its share for affordable housing, then after getting sued and loosing, they removed the Inclusionary component that they agreed to include in our housing element to settle the previous lawsuit, only to get sued again and squandered millions in tax dollars trying to enhance the developers profits
- they spent our $16M budget surplus for the planning S50, while we have an unbuilt fire station in Empire Ranch, causing emergency response times to increase and putting residents at risk and draining the reserve to $1M
- they made substantial cuts to recreation staff and programs while raising fees for children to play youth sports, yet allowed the Chamber to keep their $1 per year lease and favorable reimbursements back to the city for their special events

 

 

The city of Bell is infamous for its corruption. The #1 contributing factor to that was long term local elected officials in place without any watchdog group overseeing what was happening. This is very similar to what we have going on now in Folsom. We can change that on Nov 4! Vote the bums out!
