SF Sourdough has been open for a while and it's yummy! It is located between the theaters and the parking structure, across from Johnny Rockets.

I like the restaurants at Palladio and Whole Foods and the AT&T store. The rest of the over priced foo foo stores for the high maintenance beauty queens up on the hill are useless.

You know the economy is improving when 2 paint stores open in the same location!

Color Me Mine - choose your prefabbed ceramic piece, paint it, they fire it, and wa-la, take it home

Painted - a sip and paint place (BYOB not allowed)

Gosh, I wonder how they feel about the property manager putting competing businesses in so close.

They are very close, just around the block from each other. But they do have different audiences, so maybe that is why they are so close. The mom's at Color Me probably wished they were drinking wine at Paint.

definitely different businesses, probably wouldn't take kids to painted while you're there drinking wine, but would most definitely take kids to color me mine to make ornaments/gifts/have some fun.

I think the ORIGINAL place "Painted Cork" on Sutter Street is the better one! This new place appears to have stolen the concept from them and decided to charge more $$$ by selling the wines instead of allowing BYOB.

I know the Starbucks in Broadstone Marketplace (near Cold Stone, etc) is thinking about moving over to the Palladio.

I didn't know that Color Me offered craft hours for people to come in and make their own gifts and ornaments. That' great!

Do you know if they're relocating from the original location or if we'll have two in Folsom?

I guess I'm an outlier. I see 28 pages of excitement for a mall, and I just don't get it.
I LIKE mom and pop stores, and I dislike overpriced chain stores that pretend to be something special...and yet they are just the same as the one in the next city over. Too homogenized and sanitized for my tastes. Not to mention I think it was a really poor design for this climate...especially with the EDH outdoor mall just up the hill. Perhaps when it is full they can do some events like the EDH one does (May 11th for art and wine walk), or a jazz under the stars type of thing.
For me, it's just someplace I drop my teenage daughter off with her friends. I never make it a "destination." I think that is where they failed in the design. Looks slick, but just doesn't work for me.
Of course, if you enjoy it, great! I hope the stores stay in business. The last thing we need is more vacant retail.
