On February 03, 2010, the business provided the following information:
We understand our customers' frustration and want to assure them we are working with agencies across the country to find a resolution to this problem.
We believed we had found a very reputable company to fulfill the gift offer; this was a company that was represented as having over twenty two years in business with an A rating from the Chicago Better Business Bureau. They provided proof of "over redemption" insurance which was to have covered this very situation.
At first the company honored their commitment to our customers and sent the redemption cards to a number of them before suddenly stopping and then not responding to calls. The fact that they did this over the holidays has made it more difficult to get answers to the many questions about their business practices and insurance.
Like our many loyal customers, we are very upset by the situation and apologize for the delay in getting information from the redemption company. We remain focused on helping our customers. We will be contacting our customers shortly with an update and will be taking action against the redemption company.

I sent Beck's an email asking them for the $439.95 I am still owed and informing them I will seek remedy in small claims if they refuse. Laura emailed me that they sent me a letter yesterday.
I will post it when I recieve it.

Thanks, please let us know how to do it right in small court.
I am waiting still for resolution from CA Consumer Affairs Department, they asked me to hold on till they finish all procedure with my claim so it will allow me to say all mediation ways were exhausted... After that, I am with you in small court..

I am not sure should I laugh or cry ...

Today I've opened my mailbox and founded out a letter from Becks Furniture:
70% of the letter explains how Becks furniture was surprised with voucher failure and how they are "fighting" for their customers.
Now they offer 2 great option for their customers:
1)20% off on next Becks purchase and no more that value of voucher with other restrictions
2)Customers who can proof they paid 9.95$ will get reimbursed for 9.95$ + they eligible for 1-st 20% off.
Isn't a Happy End

I don't really understand them, don't they really see upset customers and don't they really care for their reputation..... I WILL NEVER BUY THERE !!!
I also made sure to communicate their "business" to as many people as I could.
Trying to save on us hundred dollars they are loosing tens of thousands....

Are you serious with that analogy?

I am the one who failed on their 2 vouchers , not 1...two, and ther are other like me!
When you buy the entertainment book the seller doesn't explicitly guarantee to you that by buying that book you will have anything from that business, right?
So Becks, did promised that to it's customers it's equal to buy one get one.
Sometimes I am thinking you are insider...

Companies go out of biz all the time and there are always innocent victims. You have a right to be bent but the law will probably tell you to take your 9.95 and pound sand.
Now about those Toyota brakes made by VW in a plant in Italy..........

Hey, where'd you find that cool guy typing on the keyboard? I needs me one a dem!
