I swear. I'll never understand you lefties preoccupation with what other people/companies make.  Don't like it? Start your own damn company. Pay your workers ridiculous sums while trying to remain competitive. Your will compassion will huty them worse when you are insolvent and all the jobs go away.  So many times it seems the "compassion" of the libs is based on forcing someone else to subsidize their agenda...

17 years and the best he could do is screw on the fenders? Barely better than a trained monkey.  Even at that, at 19.00 hour for assemblers, he should do fine with Wisconsin's cost of living. A 1 bedroom apt is  only 600 dollars there.  And he wasn't a stockholder in the company he worked for? Why not? HD would match 25-50% of 401 k contributions (up to 6% of wages). I would love to have that set up (as I have to supply ALL my contributions).

And you're right, not many HIGH PAYING jobs for a guy that screws fenders on. NOR SHOULD THERE BE. Step your game up son!!  17 years and you are still the fry cook of the assembly line.

Sounds like the typical GOP party line for "Compassionate Conservatism" there Joe!  Ha, ha!  :juggle:    :haha:

Just a reminder:
You forgot to address the issue of the execs at Harley-Davidson getting the vast majority of the tax cuts,

   while cutting jobs for workers.

Average for all companies: 86% goes to the corporation; 14% goes to workers and wages

What a "Deal!!!"

Quite often the CEOs and upper management make 100X, 200X and even 500X the amount of income as the

average worker.

Do you REALLY think they do 100 times the work of the line guy?  (Then I got a bridge to sell you.)

No, they often work just a few hours a week, have to pay off their country club dues,   :letseat:

and like Trump, have a slush fund for "fixing" the prostitute payoffs.        :noyoudint:

What a joke!    :laughcry:

The problem with Libs like UncleLib and Who-Lib is that they are *pathological* in their irrational beliefs and their immature hatred of Trump. They can't really explain it other than to say they hate him. They think everything "bad" is Trump's fault... even school shootings.  Deep down they know Trump is doing great things.. things Obama was too incompetent to do. So now they lash out like petulant children. It's amazing, and sad too. When people are pathological, you can't really reason with them. Mental illness can be a very tricky thing. In a lot of instances it prevents them from being honest with themselves.. they become delusional.. and that's pretty scary. It would be nice if we could detain them, because it's exactly those kinds of people who go on shooting sprees.  Trump won A YEAR AND A HALF AGO!!  Wish you babies would quit whining and pouting.

I don't give a rat's arse how much a CEO makes.  If you don't like it, put YOUR assets at risk to start a company. Spend 60 hours a week for years to grow that business into a success. Forego vacations, time with family, etc.  Make the company successful enough to turn a profit/get investors. Be at risk for millions of dollars. Take the responsibility for dozens to thousands of workers on your shoulders. Deal with state/federal agencies, lawsuits, HR claims etc. Then, after you have successfully navigated all that, listen to your assembler, who rolls out of bed 15 minutes before clock in (censored) about how much money you make. You know, the guy whois at ZERO risk for anything. The guy who can daydream through the day. The guy who's thoughts about work end precisely at quitting time.

You guys are pathological in your interest in how much other people make. Grow up.

BS, Joe.

They don't use their own money to put at risk. They get loans and LLCs.  :old:

Besides . . . Been there, Done that!

Ran my own business for 10+ years.

I knew all the tricks.

Taking company money for my own purposes.

Cheating on taxes. Paid low wages.

So don't run that tired old 'noble businessman' crap by me.

Kept getting whacked by the IRS, until I finally wised up.

Karma caught up with me.

You see . . .
You pay taxes because you use the public roads, benefit from police protection, military strength.

Anything else is being a parasite on society.

I think a lot of money-oriented people still have to learn that lesson.
When I changed my attitude and paid full taxes, my income tripled.

'Cause there IS a God, there IS a plan, and karma can be a b!#@h, aye?!

Still can't justify getting 100-times the average worker.         :fineprint:

I guess things changed for Uncle Vino!  One day he's telling us to stop hating and says we are just hurting ourselves, and now he displays the same hate he accuses us of!!!!!  It must be hard to live as a person with Bipolar disorder.

Get right with the Lord, Uncle Vino!  Step back and let him do his job! Or do you think you should be his CEO?  LOL!  Have you ever heard of the saying, 'Let go and let God'? Not that I believe that, but you are the one who keeps bringing God into the discussion.

As for your past business owner experience...that says a lot about your lack of character as a human being. You only did the right thing when you got whacked by the IRS. Sounds like you will do the wrong things if you can get away with it.

I think we know who you are now.

Can you point out exactly where the "hate" is in my post?

If anything, I see a lesson on repentance.

Bingo Rose....!   Bingo....!   Yet he can't see it.........!   So funny....!   That is why Trump will be his Potus for 6 more years....   And then he gets Pence.   Oh the vile stuff that will come out then too against Pence.....!   And in spades..!   Trump is middle of the road American....   Pence it pretty to the right, midway I'd say....   Like the guy but I'm not as far right as he may be but he is ok with me for sure......   But I will surely enjoy the pain he inflicts on the far left-aaards like Vinny and our resident who_dem who I never bother to read his posts, blocked actually.....   Not worth the time............    Chris

Trump gets another innocent imprisoned American released, this time from Venezuela. Obama the weakling couldn't do it, he was too busy in his bathhouse. You Libs are idiots. You're probably going to criticize Trump for this, right? LibAssClowns. #MAGA

More Trump successes:

Successfully trashed the Paris Climate accords  - something every other civilized nation supported.

Paris Climate accords were non binding and never went into effect.......  Paris Accords = Feel good climate fluff.  Try again...?

Successfully trashed the Iran Nuclear Deal  - something every other civilized nation supported.

Iran Nuclear Deal meant they got nuclear weapons and missiles and we got nothing...  Not a deal by any means...  Your WIMP, wet behind the ears, novice boy POTUS ensured that....   Trump got rid of it.   Thank God...!

Successfully trashed the Trans-Pacific Partnership  - something every other civilized nation supported.

Yep, the Trans-Pacific Partnership did nothing for America and everything for China....   Bye....!

Successfully trashed DACA  - something every other civilized nation supported.

DACA means my kids (American born) don't get a scholarship and kids from Mexico do....... Just ask Levi Strauss company....   Bye....!   See Ya....!  Bad deal....

Successfully trashed the summit with North Korea  - something every other civilized nation supported.

Korea is back on, just gamesmanship....   Yep, you never saw that with Obummer, he was a feeble tool and still is....   The Chinese and Koreans still laugh at him...!   And Trump, they fear him, they have no idea how to handle him, just like you....!  MAGA..!

Gee, he should write a new book: "The Art of the Dealbreaker."

And the book will be how he is (was) the greatest POTUS since Abraham Lincoln and/or Ronald Reagan......     Chris

Joe,  HD had total revenue of $5.65B in 2017.  I can assure you their executive management are nothing like you describe.  After 47 years of business journalism and interviewing 100's of executives at large US corporations, I can tell you exactly what these people are like:

Executive management at HD are self-important fat-cats who have never worked a hard day in their lives.  They came up thru the ranks in accounting firms from junior bookeeper to full partner, and then moved into top management of a multi-$billion corporation.  They have no idea how a motorcycle works, probably don't own one, and have never met any of their customers.  They have employment contracts that include fat salaries, bonuses based on vague metrics, unspecified special compensation, stock options coming out their azz, and golden parachutes that let them off the hook when things start going down the toilet and get to walk away with wealth beyond anyone's imagination.  They view their customers as fat ignorant losers to be milked for every last dollar they can.  They pay their employees what amounts to barely a living wage and embrace automation as a way to reduce headcount.  When they get up in the morning, they look at two things - company stock price and their own bank account.  Then off to a hard day at the golf course with their corporate buddies from other companies that are being screwed.  they drink their way thru 18 holes and on the way home stop by the local brothel for horizontal mambo.  It's nowhere close to what you describe.
