Yes, sarcasm. It stems from the tendency for many in our town to blame our problems on, and to fear, homeless people, low income housing, and light rail, when in reality, most of our problems are home grown, from drug abuse, to vandalism and theft.

There are a couple of homeless guys I've known of who were born here, a couple of relatively affluent kids who have been known to panhandle, and an assortment of drugs available in the schools.

Doesn't it seem like it's one end of the spectrum or the other? Either very very poor with little options or very very wealthy with lots of options? I think the news catches one end of the spectrum or the other. We all see homeless and poverty, and it's headline news when the mayor or pastor gets caught with an eightball. Normal middle class addicts just aren't very newsworthy.

I think everyone should talk to their kids about what they know about this and other places like this. Maybe we as parents can share the information, and get a better idea what's going on in our kids lives.

That's what I thought when I read the article. I felt the Sacramento Bee, did the softest reporting job ever. He has been a manace in this neighborhood. And when the Sacramento Bee finally decides that it's worth talking about, they quote him and his attourney. The lawyer said in the paper that her wants to supress evidence because there wasn't a proper warrant. Notice how he did'nt say there weren't drugs? I'm thinking if they find a loaded needle with drugs in your bedroom, ya know about it. AND he said that he can't control what's happening in his house? Meth heads are like cats? Put the cat out....call the spca....come on. What does larrick expect us to believe? That people are coming into his house with drugs and he can't do anything about it? Call the police....aren't they around the corner anyway?

we hear about all the elk grove houses the marijuana growers use and now we see a problem with the meth house in folsom. some one told me that the suburbs are good places for the bad guys to hang out because the DEA or state narcotics folks can't find them and the local police are more set up for traffic and protecting the schools than major crimes. maybe this article will let the big boys know about this place and they can send undercover people to a chimyghanga party and stage a big bust.

the story about four cars and three motorcylces at one time might be a record. I had a friend that was down town when the lady fell off the railing and they had 6 cars there. He came up with a funny joke....how many folsom cops does it take to change a lightbulb.....answer 3 ...one to change the bulb and two for backup...

in a way folsom is a bad place for bad guys cause we have lake natoma and folsom lake as boundarys and highway 50 with just three exits so its harder for them to escape and easier for them to be spotted....compare folsom to rancho and we are lucky ducks
