turning the old ccr screws gives those guys driving the security cars a sense of purpose. when they get the word be on the lookout for stuff in the back of a truck at an address it gives a purpose in live.
one of the things the planners might look at is a blue collor development when they start building south of 50
they ought to print ccrs with the same size fonts that first graders have in their books.

I have talked to many police officers in both Folsom, the City I work in (Not Folsom) and PD officer friends concerning this issue. According to them "If its a public street, it must be posted just as you have to post it in a downtown area or as in no parking zones." Otherwise the public has not been informed and any judge would throw it out it you could get a cop to issue a ticket. Even if its on a private street(gated housing tract)

Like I said before, contact the city attorney for accurate information as to the enforcement by the association of the CC&Rs. It has nothing to do with police enforcement of city municipal parking codes (which I agree, PD would not issue the tickets) but everything to do with the CC&Rs and the homeowners who signed and agreed to abide by them.

I don't think the police ticket the driver.. it's an HOA thing to the homeowner, right? So yeah, the policeman would say that firemedic, because he can't ticket anyone.

Very true. The ticket isn't actually a "parking ticket". It is an HOA "violation", which states vehicles cannot be parked in front of your residence on a street during certain hours. Just like you can't leave a wheelbarrow on the side of your house, and just like you have to paint your satellite dish, if you signed the CCR papers, you bought the whole deal.
Here's a capper.......How many decorate their houses for xmas? Welllllll, supposedly you aren't allowed to have any type of decorations on the front yard that hinder the mowing of the lawn. Sorry, but I have a lot of lawn decorations that make the decorations truly decorative....
To me, that is going toooooo far.

"" I'm tempted to go park in front of random homes in the Parkway and give people tickets
""
LOL - I've done that.
Had too many overnight guests and told friend to park in front of neighbor's house. Not that I want to make enemies of neighbors, but the house was empty. I would say park in their driveway, but I didn't know them and agents were coming buy early all the time.

Why not have them park at the association office and pick them up instead of being an a-hole and disregarding what you signed.

He didn't sign it. Stone house is at least 1/2 mile away - what a pain in the arse!
How did that happen? It's a condition of sale that the buyer sign the CC&Rs....course we all know how people conveniently forget this............

Since he's talking in the third person, I think he meant that his overnight guests didn't sign the agreement.
Or perhaps he's renting, in which case he didn't sign it. The owners would of course still be responsible for their tenants.

A friend just told me he got a "ticket" for a trailer too. His wasn't overnight though. The HOA claimed he owed them $500 for a landscaping deposit..... idiots should ask what is in the trailer first - or read the sign on it. I was over there the other day and the security guy on "patrol" drove by - my friend waved nicely to the guy who looked but wouldn't return a friendly wave.
Also in my understanding there is no requirement for a $500 deposit if you are doing work on your backyard and there is no impact (no fence removal, no materials on the street, no removal of HOA landscaping, etc). So if he had, it would be a moot point anyway.
So if the CHP's motto is "Serve and Protect", or something like that, I wonder what HOA security motto would be.....

Wow, thanks for the discussion. Now I know I wouldn't want to live here. The last thing I need to worry about is if my neighbor is going to tattle on me or some patrol car is going to "ticket" me because I have a 2 x 4 sticking out of my truckbed. There are truly some people that don't have enough to do. I understand the purpose of HOA's, but come on, most of this sounds ridiculous. I mean, the landscape truck is an eyesore? Really? And the whole parking issue? So guests are supposed to park where when they come to visit? "I'm sorry Grandma you have to stay in a hotel because we don't have anywhere for you to park your car." Really really stupid. Okay, my opinionated rant is over...thanks for letting me get that out.

It isn't as bad as Gold River.... not much is.
There are a lot of folks who fly under the radar too.
Here is an interesting sight for HOA lovers: http://www.ahrc.com/...ex.php/src/home
