Cruised by there today in attempt at lunch, but apparently they're closed on at least this Sunday.

Checking out the menu by the door I certainly still want to try it. They've got a Kobe burger that sounded intriguing along with many other selections.

Prices were up there, but seemed reasonable for what you get. Looks like the interior is still a work in progress.

Can't wait to give it a shot.

I drove by last night and they were closed. People were setting up, but it was around 4 pm so I was probably early. It's on our hit list to try soon though. As soon as we try it, I'll post something. We went to Cliff House instead. Mixed salad with blue cheese and carmelized pecans was better than Zinfandel Grills, but the entry was hit and miss. The roasted red potatoes seemed to have been from the day before and slightly cold. The green beans were way way over cooked and flavorless. The salmon was nice and firm, but I asked for the sauce on the side and it came on top. The waiter said the cook couldn't speak english so he didn't know how to tell him, "on the side." can't beat the view though.

Sadly, no Spicy.. but an *awesome* Kobe burger. I think we have a new contender for Best Burger in Folsom!

The beet salad was tasty, too.

Decor leaves a little to be desired, but the service was great and the food even better!

We had dinner there last night. Excellent! This is definately one of the more elegant restaurants in town, even if it is small. We had the poisson and duck confit, salads, and a dessert. As Mike Dunne suggested, we brought our own wine and they happily accomodated us at no charge. This is because their liquor license is coming next week.

I want to go back and try the trout for dinner. We also want to go back for lunch and see if that Kobe burger is on it.

Folsom Bistro is a absolute plus! We are going to be eating there a lot!

Oh man, one visit and food's a 3? What'd you have Spicy?

My parents & siblings did enjoy the meals at Folsom Bistro.
They said Braised Beef Short Ribs, Oven Roasted Chicken, and Grilled Steak were pretty good.
They also really liked Butter Lettuce Salad. They all concluded Food & Service : 3 and ambiance :1.

Lets respect each other preference and move on.

Happy Holidays!

Hi Spicy - no disrespect, but did you base that rating on Folsom Bistro on your parents and siblings experience or did you actually go there yourself and try it?

I only ask because it would seem to make more sense to post a review based on your own experience, not others

I mean that with the utmost respect, admiration and idolization or your immensely god like food knowledge and skill set.
