But this is CHINA BUFFET! The most anticipated opening of any restaurant in Folsom since, well, since the last chain opened up a few weeks ago. And even if it makes people sick it'll get a thumbs up from the Sushi/BBQ/Teryiaki Buffet crowd here because it's CHEAP!

Don't forget they can get their pizza fix while having their sushi.

I do think Eastern Max Buffet in Roseville has more variety of foods and better quality food than China Buffet in Folsom.

I tried it and that's true. It was just OK.
The desserts seemed stale and there wasn't much selection of it and some of the food wasn't very warm at all. Even egg rolls were sub par to typical egg rolls at Panda Express or even Jack In the Box.
I'd rather drive to Eastern Max than ever go back. $12.99 for the buffet plus extra for soda, plus tax and tip came out to about $18 each for mediocre food.
I suppose if you fill up on seafood items (shrimp, crab legs etc.) you will get more of your money's worth.
The main impression I had when I paid the bill was:
"Meh, I've had better meals elsewhere for a lot less money than this."

This place is gonna survive. Great location, save $$ on advertising.

Great location? It's absolutely dangerous driving around there. Mark that driveway along E Bidwell as the new fender bender capital as people turning in there at the last second will get rear ended for sure. I saw it almost happen at least twice yesterday.
And after the intial hoopla wears off I think the place will be rather lame, even the opening night reviews don't speak too highly of the food.

This may seem like overkill, but when I'm driving that direction I automatically put my flashers/hazard lights on well ahead of that parking lot just to get the attention of the car behind me in case the cars in front of me decide to stop to pull into that lot, and it works. Never even had a close call. With all the idiot drivers out there not paying attention, sometimes ya gotta think for them. Rather safe than sorry.

Agreed.
For 7 or 8 bucks for a Buffet Lunch or $13 bucks for a Buffet Dinner, what do ya expect?

At Manderes, I didn't get what I paid for. I recalled I paid about $20 bucks for Lunch for a Bulgogi Hoagie and an order of Onion Rings. The bread I had was OLD bread and the service was quite POOR.
Bon Appétit!
